  • James Godsil Talks To June Stoyer About Sweet Water Organics
What if there was a way to grow food organically and sustainably in an urban environment that utilized abandoned buildings and lots? This is exactly what the folks at Sweet Water Organics have done in Milwaukee as they transformed an abandoned industrial building into a showcase of potential living technologies and urban agriculture. Sweet Water is an emergent, hybrid enterprise experiment, a social business and innovation center, advancing the commercialization, democratization, and globalization of aquaponics. Aquaponics is not necessarily a new method of growing food but has resurged to become the hottest trend in small scale sustainable organic agriculture. It is defined as the cultivation of fish and plants together in a constructed, re-circulating ecosystem utilizing natural bacterial cycles to convert fish wastes to plant nutrients, an eco system method of food production. Sweet Water offers more than aquaponics produce and protein production. Sweet Water is an educational center that offers a myriad of opportunities for people to learn and create sustainable businesses which emphasize sustainable community building. Sweet Water aspires to grow urban farmers, green tech start-up businesses, beloved communities, and even organic cities! Tune in to this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, as host, June Stoyer is joined by special guest James Godsil, co-founder of Sweet Water Organics, to talk about how they are helping communities become sustainable. • Linda Tucker Talks To June Stoyer About Saving White Lions
In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to special guest, Linda Tucker, CEO and President of The Global White Lion Protection Trust. Linda recently published her second best-selling book, Saving the White Lions- One Womans Battle for Africas Most Sacred Animal which is a heart-warming story about her personal journey to save South Africa's rapidly diminishing white lion population as well as her mission to globally ban canned hunting. Canned hunting facilities offer customers the opportunity to kill exotic and native animals trapped within enclosures. Canned hunting is actually frowned upon and not supported by most hunters. Yet, there are some people who will pay a great deal of money to kill animals in canned hunts. Please help Linda Tucker ban canned hunts by signing the petition on Avaaz.org. • Bob Catell Discusses The CEO and The Monk With June Stoyer
Corporate America is more or less known for distrust, employee mistreatment, and lack of ethics, to say the least. What if two men could create harmony between management and union workers as they generate profitability? Such was the case with the most unlikely duo, Bob Catell a luminary in the energy industry and Kenny Moore, a former Catholic Monk who tell their story of success in the best-selling book, The CEO and The Monk. It is the story of KeySpan, the nations fifth largest energy giant and a profitable, Fortune 500 company and their simple belief in opting to "do the right thing." Before it was bought out by NationalGrid in February 2006, KeySpan received a 100% rating on the Corporate Equality Index released by the Human Rights Campaign starting in 2004, the third year of the report. The Human Rights Campaigns priorities include: prevention of hate crimes and HIV/AIDS; advocacy for healthcare benefits, marriage, and adoption rights for same-sex couples; lobbying for a federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act and gender identity anti-discrimination laws; combating gay bashing in schools; and building relationships with straight allies, ethnic groups, religious leaders, and youth. In this segment of The Clean Energy View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Robert Catell who was formerly the Chairman and CEO of KeySpan Corporation and KeySpan Energy Delivery, the former Brooklyn Union Gas. • Pat Cori Talks To June Stoyer About Dolphins & Whales Crisis
In November 2008, gifted clairvoyant Patricia Cori was in Jordan teaching a workshop when a life-changing event occurred. A community of Cetaceans—“a choir of whales and dolphins,” as she describes it—interrupted her talk with a frantic plea for help. Cori was suddenly witness to a devastating scene of suffering, a communal grieving of scores of whales and dolphins “frenzied, lost, and dying.” This was the first of several terrifying calls for help, all of which were immediately followed by mass suicide events as these majestic creatures collectively chose to leave us and our planet. These troubling incidents evolved into the stream of messages for humanity that Cori reveals in this extremely timely work. The whales and dolphins present their deep understanding of our urgent global situation, calling for the human race to restore balance to our ecosystems—especially our dying oceans. For the first time, we read the communications of the Cetaceans and their story of devotion and celebration of life on the Great Planet Earth. We are also given a glimpse of their role in the unfolding of galactic events throughout our solar system, and the message is clear. Without the whale and dolphin song—without these musicians who hold the oceans in balance—we risk our advancement through the ascension process for which our entire solar system is destined. Before We Leave You: Messages from the Great Whales and the Dolphin Beings is a roadmap to that higher future and a pathway to global transformation. In to this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer is joined by Patricia Cori.
