The Outdoors Show

Jeff was doing some OSR up on the Georgia property this week – getting ready for deer season.  So that left the studio in the hands of Capt. Kevin, Capt. Kirk, and guest co-host Capt. Scott Shank. So, with three charter captains chatting it up, you know they were talking about everything happening on the […]

‘Tis the season…to talk tarpon!  Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott talk it up about the monsters and all the fun you can have battling them – even in the nasty heat.  You can also get the details on the time Capt. Scott put one right on Capt. Kevin’s kisser, and how Capt. Kevin got pancaked! […]

Capt. Kirk was off doing the family thing this week, so joining Jeff and Capt. Kevin was none other than Dave Edwards, a long-time friend of the show and Director of Land Stewardship at White Oak (click HERE to visit their website).  Of course, the mere mention of White Oak stirred up lots of great […]

Last week, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott – along with every other First Coast angler – suffered through some terrible times.  If it wasn’t crappy weather, it was no bait, or the fish just wouldn’t bite.  But – there was hope!  Did they guys discover an itty bitty mullet run?  Or were they just hallucinating […]

Kevin was back from his vacation in Indiana, and you can bet he had some stories to tell.  Of course, those stories coaxed some small town stories for Capt. Kirk and Jeff, too. The guys actually had quite a few different topics to hit – lots of different fishing and hunting items, of course, and […]

Mother Nature has been downright ANGRY over the past several days, and both Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott, along with every other First Coast charter captain, have been in the middle of some downright nasty storms!  The guys talk about how the summer grinds on everybody, and they talk about the changes that anglers have […]

Kevin was out of the studio – away on vacation in Indiana, and having a ball.  So, Capt. Kirk and Jeff sat in a for a fun episode talking about EVERYTHING from the heat to the rain to the fishing to the first day of deer season (in South Carolina). All kinds of tips and […]

Capt. Kevin was off to Indiana for some family fun and a little OSR, so Capt. Scott called on Capt. Chip Wingo to join him in studio and talk about the latest happenings in First Coast waters.  And what’s happening is what’s been happening for most of 2020.  What is it?  NO FREAKING BAIT!!!!  AGAIN!!!!  […]

The boys had a lot to talk about on this episode – the great bait situation (until Saturday, anyway), royal red shrimp, some cool gear and great tips.  However, Kevin, Kirk, and Jeff were excited to talk with special guest Lt. Corey Bridwell from the FWC about all things Florida wildlife. Here’s your L.V. Hiers […]

Shrimpies? Yeah, shrimpies.  Capt. Scott actually calls them ‘shrimpies’ in this episode!  Both he and Capt. Kevin know that shrimp are on the way, and they’re just itching to find a dock and throw a net for a couple of hours!  But aside from the dreaming, there was a lot of great fishing to talk […]
