The Outdoors Show

Capt. Kevin was FINALLY back in the studio after two weeks of OSR in Indiana, and boy, did he bring back a BUNCH of great stories.  Spectacular deer hunting stories, of course, but some cool stuff about the area and the history of the town, too.  Going into details here won’t do these stories justice…you’ve […]

As of the recording of this episode, Tropical Storm Eta is getting ready to cut across Florida and head directly for the First Coast.  So how is that going to affect the fishing?  Well, while Capt. Kevin is STILL away on an OSR expedition, Capt. Scott and Capt. Leon Dana will give you the full […]

Capt. Kevin was out of the studio for today’s episode – he’s still doing some OSR in Indiana.  But Jeff was back from some OSR of his own, and boy, did he have some great stories to share.  After cooking in the stand for an hour before he got hit with some serious buck fever […]

Capt. Kevin is off once again – this time, taking care of some OSR, Indiana style.  So Capt. Scott invited Capt. Leon Dana to come in and talk a little bit about what’s been happening, and a lot more about what could happen.  Hurricane/Tropical Storm/Tropical Depression Eta has been destroying Central America for the past […]

So what happens when Capt. Kirk and Jeff BOTH take off for some OSR?  The results could be SCARY (don’t worry, this is the only lame Halloween reference you’ll see here), but they weren’t.  In fact, it was pretty fun – Capt. Kevin brought along his Moe’s Southwest Grill Fishing Forecast co-host Capt. Scott, as […]

Our DEER Capt. Kevin was out doing some OSR (you can only imagine what that en-TAIL-ed), so Capt. Scott took the helm and brought in our good buddy Capt. Chip Wingo to talk about everything going on.  Lots of interesting weather happening, of course, a full moon coming up, which means all kinds of craziness, […]

As the guys settled in, the talk quickly turned back to Kirk’s story last week about the spooky clown his son found while out in the woods.  It was on after that – more scary clown talk, Bigfoot hunting camp pranks, and more. Things got a little sideways when people started talking about seeing werewolves […]

High pressure, that is.  The weather has been, for the most part, God-awful for a LOOOOOOOOONG time.  Let’s just call it what it is: the 2020 Curse.  Anyway, it’s all about storms, big temperature changes, frustrating (and sometimes dangerous) wind patterns…and all the repercussions when it comes to fishing.  Well, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott […]

We got two words for you: Gun Season.  Every hunter in GA is jumping for joy (when they’re not in their stands or blinds, of course).  And of course, every First Coast hunter who makes the trip north of the line is jumping, too!  So, as you can imagine, hunting talk dominated the day. Kirk […]

Well, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Scott found themselves struggling here in the dog days of August, and-  What? It’s mid-OCTOBER?????  Why is it so dadgum hot? The boys talk about the heat, whether they beat it or it beat them, and most importantly, they give you the rundown on what’s coming up in the forecast […]
