In this episode we discuss the recently published Rape Gang Inquiry Report which was instigated by Rupert Lowe MP in an effort to force the issue to be addressed at a national level and to give a voice to victims of these heinous crimes. We consider the failures of British institutions and authorities, the aspects of Islamic law and theology which have influenced the gangs, and the fear of racism and ‘islamophobia’ which has enabled the crimes to continue for decades. We conclude with a Christian response, including the excellent work of Christian Concern, and a reading from Amos 5:21-14.
