How often do you sit down for a meal or snack and experience a moment of worry before you eat? It’s probably more often than you’d like. I noticed this happening with many women after they’d finished treatment for hormone-driven breast cancer; their food was scaring them! Food doesn’t have to be scary, and eating doesn’t have to feel stressful, panicky or worrisome. Tune in to this episode for an introduction to what eating with peace looks like, and the three things that stop you from getting there.

In this inaugural episode I share details of my own breast cancer experience and how I turned something awful into something purposeful - in other words - the story of how I got to where I am today. As an uber-healthy, vegan-diet eating, half-marathon-running dietitian and personal trainer, being diagnosed with breast cancer rocked my world and made me very angry; the only way I knew to feel better was to channel that corrosive anger into action. Blending my professional expertise as a dietitian with my personal experience of breast cancer is a path I never imagined my future self walking. . .but here we are. Tune in to this episode to hear how helping others continues to help me heal, and how serving a particular group of breast cancer survivors is that “something purposeful” I was looking for.
