Long, long ago in a podcast far, far away (#43!) we reviewed the first few episodes of the new sci-fi show from the creator of Family Guy, The Orville. We gave it 50% awesome.

Rocketman Podcast Review

Reggie Dwight may not be a household name, but his stage persona Elton Hercules John may well be one of the best known recording stars of the last 40 years! Rocketman (starring Taron Egerton) is the musical fantasy-biopic exploring Elton's younger days and his meteoric rise to fame.

Quinny, Bec and our producer pal Peta are here to decide if this one really is "Your Song" or should we be saying "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"?

Men In Black: International Podcast Review

"Here come the Men in Black! Galaxy defenders!"... That was the catchy theme tune that helped rocket rising star Will Smith out of Bel Air and into orbit. MIB, adapted from the Men in Black comic series (itself inspired by a notorious UFO conspiracy theory), went on to spawn two sequels and an animated series. 22 years (!) after the first movie, the MIB are going international with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) as Agents H and M, respectively, who are teaming up to fight... aliens?

Godzilla: King of the Monsters Podcast Review

Godzilla... (or ゴジラ "Gojira" to his friends) is probably the most recognisable, and definitely the most loved of all Kaiju, or "Titans" as they're known in this films continuity. Since 1954 his gigantic rubbery feet have stomped over numerous Japanese (and later, American) cities in an orgiastic cavalcade of radioactive destruction. After the slow burn of the 2014 Godzilla film and side-step of 2017's world-building Kong: Skull Island, it's now time for the big guy to return and battle some of his most famous rivals; Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidora, while somehow not treading on Millie Bobby Brown!

Brightburn Podcast Review

Just before the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,  James Gunn had begun working with his cousins Mark Gunn and Brian Gunn, producing the as-yet-untitled horror film that we now know as "Brightburn". Elizabeth Banks stars while the young lead Jackson A. Dunn doubles down on the superhero genre after appearing in Avengers: Endgame recently.  Brightburn asks the question, "What if Superman wasn't the saviour of mankind, but something far more sinister?"

Join Quinny, Dion and Peta as they dissect Brightburn and decide if this is a triumphant return to Gunn's horror roots, or is if this story is a glowing chunk of Kryptonite around our collective necks?
