The MiLB crew is back together after Derrik and Jake missed last week’s show. Hunter kicks things off by giving a full recap of the 5 Sea Dogs games he watched in Somerset last week. It was a huge week for all of the members of the Big 3, with Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony and Kyle Teel each having big weeks at the plate. Zach Penrod was a big topic of discussion, as he had his second start in a row of 10 strikeouts. He’s quickly become one of the best pitching prospects in the system. How much longer can we expect the soon to be 27 year old to stay in AA? Next, the guys go over Salem, where Miguel Bleis is crushing it and the numbers are starting to stabilize after an unlucky start. It was a great week for Salem starters including Trennor O’Donnell, Jedixson Paez, Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz, Luis Cohen and more. In Greenville, they talk about Kristian Campbell destroying the baseball and Bryan Gonzalez becoming a big power prospect. In Worcester, the guys ponder the future for Nick Sogard, and discuss Lucas Luetge among others. After a quick FCL Minute, it’s time for Guess the Prospect.

Raffy hit a couple Homers, O’Neill had a big HR in game two, and the Bullpen really showed up especially in the 12 inning walk off. Jordan, Brian and Sam get together to recap the Boston Red Sox series with the Washington Nationals. The trio talks Kenley Jansen's usage, Josh Winckowski getting optioned to AAA Worcester, as well as the team's ongoing issue with runners in scoring position despite the series win.

In Worcester, the guys go over the great start to Chase Meidroth’s season and his Barry Bonds-like ability to get on base. What’s his ceiling? In Portland, there’s lots of talk about Matthew Lugo’s continued hot start, Blaze Jordan’s hitting streak, and great outings for Hunter Dobbins, Wikelman Gonzalez and more. In Greenville, the guys talk about how much it sucks that Asheville doesn't broadcast their games, but that didn't keep them from still seeing highlights of Kristian Campbell’s huge week (shoutout to the Red Sox Player Development Twitter account!). In Salem, there have been some really bummer injuries including for Johanfran Garcia and Nazzan Zanetello, right when both were really doing well. But there is enough to enjoy there including David Sandlin’s first big start of the year and more. After a brief FCL Minute, Derrik tries to stump Jake and Hunter with a special Guess the Prospect.

Jordan and Brian recap the Red Sox weekend series with the Minnesota Twins, in which Boston rode a blowout Sunday victory to stave off a sweep.

In the series, second baseman Vaughn Grissom made his team debut while Ceddanne Rafaela and Rafael Devers each homered in the finale.

The duo also talk Xander Bogaerts vs. Nomar Garciaparra all-time in Red Sox history as well as the hot-headedness of the 2000 team before discussing the Padres' trade for perennial batting title candidate Luis Arraez.

Finally, they wrap up the show with commentary on Toronto Blue Jays starter Alek Manoah.

Derrik, Hunter and Jake are back with another week of Red Sox MiLB talk and we start off in Portland where Blaze Jordan had a blazing hot week. The power was there, he doesn’t strike out, and he’s been playing great defense. What’s the ceiling for the big name in the Sox system? They also go over the good starts in the week for Wikelman Gonzalez, Angel Bastardo and Hunter Dobbins. The guys briefly touched on Greenville, where Tyler Miller went 9-for-18 on the week, and Luis Perales came back with a strong start after missing a few weeks. In Salem, the guys gush about finally getting to see Nazzan Zanetello back in games and his athleticism showed up right away with his first HR being an inside-the-parker. They also talk about a great pitching week for several Salem starters including Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz, Jedixson Paez, and Matt Duffy. The guys give a short preview of the FCL and DSL seasons, which start on May 4, much earlier than previous years. Finally, they finish with Guess the Prospect.
