Corner Booth at Rex's
This week’s Corner Booth at Rex’s episode is on The Marvels. While we were both positive about the movie, Byers was more positive than Troy. We had plenty to quibble about once we got into spoiler territory as a lot of the mechanics of the story didn’t make sense. We also discussed how this movie had the most crossovers of the Marvel TV shows than any other movie that’s been released to date. Troy takes an opportunity to throw cats completely under the bus and Byers never wastes an opportunity to dump on Eternals not once, but twice.
We stay spoiler free until the 23 minute mark.

This week our glorious purpose is to break down all the things we liked and didn’t like about season 2 of Loki – the Disney+ MCU series. We’re traveling through time, or maybe space, or maybe
Apologies for the audio on this episode, we’ve been having some issues and couldn’t quite clean them all up in editing this time around.

We're back with the 3/4 season update.
We discuss the wide open AFC, our biggest surprises across the league, both pleasant and disappointing, not to mention down right confusing.

Die Hard
It’s finally here – the greatest argument in the history of the Phileo Podcast – Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?
We do all our usual breakdowns of this 80s classic – and then give our concluding arguments for whether or not it should also be considered a holiday classic. Please be sure to vote in our first

About Time
In case you’re like Byers and have never seen this movie before, we’re not telling you much about this week’s episode. It’s called About Time – it’s a romantic comedy starring Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson, and if you haven’t seen it – check it out, then come join us as we go through all of our normal laughs, tears and quibbles.

Corner Booth at Rex's
This week’s Corner Booth at Rex’s episode is on The Creator. This was a movie that took us by surprise in the middle of the year and it became one of the movies we slotted for this discussion once we saw the trailer. Gareth Edwards describes this movie as, “A mix of Blade Runner and Apocalypse Now.” Troy takes us on an unexpected detour into a discussion of Jai Courtney’s mid-career Hollywood “it” guy. We stay spoiler free until the 25 minute mark.

Our introduction gives away that we are more new school vs. old school when it comes to Westerns. We're back with a roughly midseason update to our tier rankings. Byers is here to hate on the Chiefs and has the audacity to move them all the way down to contenders instead of elite. We also throw in some brief World Series talk and somehow finish up with international travel tips.

Tombstone
We’ll be your huckleberry, or your daisy, just don’t call us lungers, because apparently that’s an insult. Because in this episode we head west for 1993’s Tombstone. This one fills up the Drax award and has plenty of candidates for all of our actor categories. So join us for the full breakdown of this modern western.

We return to Middle-Earth for a Late Nights at Blockbuster on the second entry in the The Hobbit Trilogy, The Desolation o Smaug. Troy brings up a well-known name in Great Names in Casting because it’s just too good to ignore. He was also incredibly disappointed in the internet. We said we weren’t going to be too negative and then fell into a long list of plot holes and quibbles. #sorrynotsorry
