Our girl Tori Yorgey from WTAE had to deal with some drunk fans during a live report Saturday before the game. Aditi talked about the Steelers RB room and if anyone will get added to it. 

Aditi covered her first Browns game Friday night and got the chance to chat with Deshaun Watson. She talked about what went into the interview and her allowance of three questions pertaining to the off-the-field issues with Watson. She said his apologies seemed sincere. After a long pause, she told the guys she thinks Watson will play this year. 

Aditi joined the guys following the Steelers preseason win over Seattle on Saturday. Aditi talked about how impressed she was with Kenny Pickett and threw it back to his first college start – when he helped Pitt upset #2 Miami. She wasn’t surprised with how well Mitch Trubisky played because she trusts that he’s not the same guy that flunked out of Chicago. Poni said he still doesn’t like how Devin Bush and Robert Spillane look, but gives less credit to Bush because he was the high draft pick. The chat shifted to the offensive line, a group that had a solid night run blocking, but not so great in pass protection. 

Mason Rudolph was boo’d as he entered the game Saturday night. Was it warranted? Chris and Donny didn’t like the move from fans. Poni has a Rudolph trade rumor. A former NFL general manager thinks the Lions could be a fit for Rudolph as a backup QB behind Jared Goff. Is it worth it for the Lions to do that and what would you take as a Steeler fan?

The Steelers won their preseason opener Saturday night. Poni is back from vacation early because he’s so excited from what Kenny Pickett did in his debut. Chris said Mitch Trubisky looked just as good and should stay the starter on this team. Donny said Pickett stole the show, but all three QBs looked solid. Poni thinks the Pickett critics have to admit they saw great things from the rookie QB on Saturday. Chris wants to see Pickett play with the first team, at least a little bit, in the next preseason game against Jacksonville. That way, the argument of competition isn’t there. The offensive line was bad in pass protection, but the run blocking looked solid, leading to a nice night from Anthony McFarland and Jaylen Warren. 

Former Steeler Chris Hoke joined the show. Chris had his breakdown of Saturday night’s game and what he saw from the quarterbacks. Chris said Mason Rudolph is the best looking of the group and should get more first team reps in practices and games. Chris talked about the weight it carries for QBs for what kind of guys they are competing against in preseason games. He doubted that he would still make the team today because there is a lack of reps in practices/games that was not an issue 20 years ago. A few players he thinks helped themselves Saturday night included Jaylen Warren, Master Teague and Steven Sims. He referenced the loaded receiving corps and said it will be difficult for the Steelers to decided on the last one or two spots.
