Final thoughts with Aditi. She loves the idea of the Steelers going back to St. Vincent College. 

Aditi ranked the 4 teams in the AFC North, listing the Bengals as the top team. The guys then made their rankings. Aditi doesn’t know why the Steelers released Trey Edmunds, but thinks it could be up for a bigger move. 

Aditi joined the show as the Steelers get set for training camp. Aditi said Mitch Trubisky has an advantage over Kenny Pickett to win the QB battle because he joined the team first and already has a few years under his belt. Aditi broke down how Mason Rudolph falls into the equation. Aditi also gave her thoughts on the expectations for Devin Bush. 

Poni and Chris give some of their predictions and expectations for the Steelers going into the season. Poni is excited for a few positions on offense, but it ends after QB, RB and TE. He thinks the Steelers win 9 games and are a fringe playoff team because of how loaded the AFC is. Chris thinks they can hope the powerhouses in the conference beat up on each other so much it leaves an opening for the Steelers. 

What questions are there going into training camp? Spots all over the field have them, beyond quarterback.

Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo joined the show. Ray said Kenny Pickett will be the #2 QB if he doesn’t win the job and there shouldn’t be a worry about Mason Rudolph getting in his way. He expects the Steelers to play out the battle with Mitch Trubisky as QB1, but thinks it could be a short leash. Ray said Rudolph will be on the roster through August and thinks the Steelers ultimately want to keep him around in case of injury. In the guard battle, Ray thinks Kevin Dotson goes in as the slight favorite, but Kendrick Green will be right there behind him. Ray sees Benny Snell as the backup RB, but could keep their eyes open as the regular season approaches. Ray can see a fringe playoff team out of this group, but also a team that could finish 7-10 or worse.

More Ben Roethlisberger fallout. Ben said the league has become more of a me-first type attitude. Does he have a gripe? The two players that pop to mind are Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, who have had their own comments for Ben since leaving Pittsburgh. Although Ben has had his moments of drama, he kept a very low profile on social media for the duration of his career. Poni finds it odd that Ben complained about the me-first attitude, but praised JuJu Smith-Schuster throughout their time together.
