Wherein Harry and Murphy are sitting in a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G.
A tricky case where there initially seems to be no proof that the deceased are victims leads our investigative stars into a a trip to the Illinois State Fair and a ride through the Tunnel of Terror that turns romantic for our star-crossed heroes.
There's mind whammies a-plenty, Harry chews on his foot a bit, and we get an interesting peak into inter-court relations amongst the undead.
It's a brief and an enjoyable, if not outstanding, side quest before we start chewing on Changes next week. So, Hey Rube, come try your luck! Love Hurts starts RI-NOW!!!

Wherein Harry, uh...wins? We win, but woof. Morgan is persona non grata from the White Council--and also, ya know, dead; Harry and Luccio have only questions and regrets; The Circle is as powerful as ever, potentially with a spot on the Senior Council itself; Thomas is now a bad, bad man...hell, we had to start a new conspiracy just to stay sane!
Life and game night goes on, but things can never go back. Molly is one mind-vasion away from a twirly moustache, the council trusts Harry as far as Morgan can throw him, and we need new bedding at the Fortress of Dresditude!!
We close the book on Turn Coat with a doozy of a three chapter finale. We touch on past chunks and Lyssy learns of another blood-relative player as we get ready for our one week between-book-hiatus where we dig into some shorter versions of Dresden goodness.
Come celebrate/agonize over/devour the eighth and final chunk of Turn Coat...and gold star to whoever gets the title!! We dig in RIGHT NOW!!

Wherein: The music starts and our wizard hosts a Demonreach Dance Party and all the cool kids (murderous bad guys, murderous good guys, Toot-Toot!) are invited!
Our plucky and/or foolish hero charges across Demonreach alongside powerful allies, but few he can trust. We only have to overcome an army of Binder's goons, a psycopathic Succubus, a master of shadows with a whole clutter of Aragogs, a 10 foot tall semi-divine shapeshifting nightmare, and a cloud of mistrust and enmity from the only people technically on Harry's team. The shade and warbles under the pear tree would be welcome right now!
Join us to see if our Super Genius can spring the trap juuuuuuust right, or if the Acme explosives will launch him into the abyss.....The TURN COAT battle for White Council survival (chunk 7) starts.....RIGHT NOW!
Lego Joe fit of the week: Ernest Armand Tinwhistle!

Wherein Harry makes nice-ish with the creepy murder island! We get our third Renaissance tableau of crazy Morgan, this time with dbag on canine gun violence, though Molly's latest illegal mind-vasion was the catalyst.
We get the most BA phone conversation this side of Liam Neeson, and set up one helluva party on Demonreach. The Gatekeepr acts kinda Strange, and everyone is suspicious of everyone, so of course Lara is in her element.
The pieces are on the move, the cauldron is bubblin, and we got a full on war about to kick off on Demonreach...See how we get there and how we get Thomas back! Unlike the Major General, we can do multiple things at once, so we squeezed eight chapters in for a good ol time. Turn Coat chunk six starts as soon as all the party guests arrive!

Wherein beating the crap out of a chubby middle aged dude in chains in a brazen abuse of power is not only justified, but also wildly hilarious! Because uh……reasons!!
Meanwhile, Billy wants answers. He thinks he’s entitled to them. HE WANTS THE TRUTH! But Harry isn’t sure he can handle it, cuz they live in a world that has walls; and those walls have to be guarded by men with staves or strong furry people with claws! And in the Drez-verse, those walls are crumbling almost as fast as this reference…
Our hero may running low on his leads, time, and chance of winning even if he had the first two, but have no fear there IS good news! Harry is finally starting to see Molly as a friend and trusted ally instead of just his troubled apprentice. She’s proven to be someone the whole team can count on!
But most importantly, she’s shown enough for Harry to TRUST her, which is one of his character defining unresolved issues! Huge moment for Harry and Molly and probably the bright spot n the chunk for me!
Great moment and I, for one, can’t wait to see where it goes from here!!
In the meantime, settle in for what is probably a beautiful day where you and the regular king in the PNW. But Ill be singin and swingin round some lamppost, cuz Turn Coat chunk 6 starts….RIGHT NOW!

Wherein Harry learns a little, but potentially loses a LOT. We learn one of the major players involved and also of Thomas's current disposition, and neither is good news.
The power of "the tips of Molly's breasts" is used for good, and bpy oh boy do we have asides! We got seven chapters so it gets long....also both of your hosts are rewatching the same show and of course that means there's 10 minutes of Wynona Earp Chat.
I fell asleep with the computer in my lap, but now we are HERE! Chunk 4 of Turn Coat gets gettin...RIGHT NOW!

Wherein Harry adds the Merlin to the list of people he hates that he's risking his life for. We travel to the seat of White Council power in Edinborough and get a great look at how differently Harry and the Senior Council go about their respective business.
Harry gets a casefile that Murph looks at for three seconds before finding a major clue, we meet Binder, shortly before he gets bound, and we realize Thomas is MIA.
We're slowly making progress on the case, Harry and Morgan are having a shouting match in Dangersville, USA, and this pod is finally getting posted. Don't kill the messenger--er, podcaster--Turn Coat chunk 3 starts RIGHT NOW!
(Lego Joseph fit for this post: The Senior Council!)

Wherein Harry learns about the ONE time Morgan was cool! We visit the most exclusive night club in Chicago where Harry actually tries, though ultimately fails, to keep his mouth shut. More importantly, though if you blink you might miss it, but for like 3/4 of a second there, Thomas actually gives himself credit!! Im calling this novel a win, no matter what happens from here!
Harry gives the Cap'n a fun--albeit shortlived--nickname, we get a peak at Molly 's deep-seated trauma, and Lyssy reiterates that she likes spiders more than ants cuz shes somehow even weirder than we thought.
Come for the Dresden, stay for the four minute asides about comedy sets and a soccer coach Josh really likes! Hey at least they arent about youth water polo anymore! Put on some sexy bass music and that rubber catsuit youve been pretending the old tenant left in the closet.....we're going to ZERO, and Turn Coat chunk two gets real sexy......RIGHT NOW!

Wherein Harry finally gets some power over Morgan, and somehow it makes his life miserable. Stop me if you've heard this one before, but Butters comes through in the clutch, and even Josh got excited for the Murphy chapter, but its bleak early. The White Council is on the brink, with two bands of rogues are licking their chops. We learn why The Sight is so dangerous: a mere glimpse of the foe floored our hero. Though a good old fashioned de-throatification to Kirby hammered home how outmatched we are!
We, and dead villains galore, know safe money is on our dog, but round 1 was thorough: Harry got brain-mushed, one Alpha KIA and another knockin on the door; and the Skinwalker was just toying with them.
And oh yeah....the least subtle character in fiction history has to keep a gigantic secret from a millenia-old organization who traffic in knowledge as much as magical power!
Quoth the Bard, "Thus bad begins, and some serious shit remains behind!" (I bet that was how the rough draft went). Shut down your Sight, I promise no prime numbers are afoot, but chunk 1 of Turn Coat starts with a bang....RIGHT NOW!
