Wherein Harry learns not all priests are as cool as Forthill. Someone is gunning (snipering?) for the Swords, and Harry has to enlist--and then save via murder-offer-- a retired knight to see this battle through.

We get a glimpse of Michael limping around living his best life, while Harry changes the world one pep talk at a time, and a villainous priest kidnaps a girl, sends threatening messages, and pushes our knight to the edge.

Wherein Harry breaks a promise to the Grasshopper. Michael gets busted up, Harry sneaks away, Namshiel does some stealth Big Badding, and Mab does big mad-ing.

Wherein we get to experience the high drama and medium cunning of HBC Dresden. Harry's a drama queen with Michael, we learn why this novel has been decidedly un-fuego-ful, and Nicky takes the bait!

The story makes good on the whispers behind our hero's back, Harry pulls the trigger on a date with the captain, resists Rosanna's evil charms, and readies a cavalry charge on Creepy Island, USA.

We stop juuuuuuuust before the REALLY meaty stuff, but the penultimate chunk of Small Favor does NOT disappoint! So tuck in, put your best friend's sword to your throat, and let's make things awkward! Chunk 7 starts.....RIGHT NOW!!!!

Wherein Harry and The Hellhound do their darndest, but can't keep Ivy safe from those dang nickelheads. The scooby gang is whispering about Harry behind his back, a powerful and scary little girl is about to get tortured by Hell's Angels (the less mean kind, but still!), we have no idea where Marcone is, and somehow even less idea about what the hell the Fae courts have to do with any of this!

Score ELEVEN Denarians for the good guys at The Showdown at the Shed, but at a devastating cost. Plus Harry has to put them back on the line to get Nicodemus to the negotiating table.

Wherein Harry uses Gard's magic to avoid getting smushed by Gruff-Kong, uses Michael's good name to avoid getting splattered by the scary little girl, and his good wits to avoid having to face Murph's determined glare.

Wherein Harry plays guardian angel! Mostly he's just riding Michael's coattails, but it is pretty cool to see the capital K knight of the capital C cross absolutely lay waste to the denizens of Faerie who would do his people harm.

Lyssy refers to an old convention without its punctuation and no one understands her, Gard and Harry share an absolutely G.O.A.T-level comedic scene, and finally water polo gets interesting when josh almost fights a fan!

Wherein Harry saves the bad guys from the worse guys! Denarian treachery surprises no one, Thomas is put to the test, and Gard finds her limit. We see the return of everyone's favorite Russian speaking agnostic knight (sorry, Lyss, you're #2!!) and learn about his dark past.

Mac's incredible brew saves Harry's life before Murphy does the same in the face of a titanic foe! Alyssa's ink blots and nightmares are covered in ants, Josh complains about stuff, and we wait patiently for George Carlin to swim against the currents of time.

Wherein Harry witnesses and participates in a re-embowlment. Gross things happen down suburb way, but before that Harry has to dodge three level 2 gruffs--and goodness does he fuck a couple of em up!--as well as a second rate street thug. He gets what he needs and meets up with a rather loquatious Cujo Hendricks and a.....rather distressed Ms. Gard.

A particularly insectoid Denarian sneaks past the velvet rope into the party, but not before we learn a fun fact about model glue! Lyssy describes something as "longer in temporal time" whilst STILL being commonly referred to as the smart one in the bunch. Joshie reminisces about past loves and present fuss-trations, but mostly.....we get excited about brothers fighting over car features.

Roll down the bulletproof glass and also raise one! Chunk two of Small Favor just dropped!

Wherein Harry gets his ass handed to him by a nursery rhyme. Mab is scary, Marcone is kidnapped, and Harry and The Carpenters have the absolute cutest snowball fight in recorded literary history!

Wherein Ramirez carries the duel, but Harry wins the war. Our gentlemanly murder duel turns into less sporting murder-chaos. A couple of ways allow for more outside interference into matters than a no-dq match on Monday Night Raw.

In Harry's corner we have Murphy, Thomas, Marcone, and an army of mercenaries, all staring across the ring, where Team Malvora/Cowl/Outsider is unleashing an army of super-ghouls (now with extra gross ichor pathing!!) to overwhelm the gathered powers.

Lash makes a choice, Lara makes an enemy, Harry solidifies his pixie empire. He also gives a little trust nugget to Carlos, but spies on Toe-mas.

A solid conclusion to a surprisingly solid entry! We close out White Night and get ready to head into the spicy depths of Small Favor.
