All roads lead to Château Wraith and a confrontation with those White Court jerks this week, though we have a surprise guest! Warden Ramirez is back in the Windy City, and though Lara makes him blush, he proves he is ready to ball on this level. Murphy helps Harry figure it out, Harry helps Lash figure it out, and the board is filling with cops mundane and magical alike, three separate Vampire factions, and mountains of intrigu.e.....but somehow we just know Marcone is gonna come out on top.

Wherein Harry gets his " Prince Ali, fabulolus He...." big song intro at Marcone's brothel! Elaine plays damsel but also hero! Harry plays hero and trashcan burning dbag. Molly is annoying, Murphy is reasonable, and the Skavis turtleneck dick gets blasted!!

Joshie figures out (has a theory to) why Marcone is supposed to be so scary--he also cries like 3 times this week, but I promise this isnt a regular feature, just a coincidence!

Wherein Harry gets medieval on some ghoul asses! We finally learn some details about the traumatic nightmare that was Camp Kaboom, New Mexico. And while Thomas gets his good, pretty name cleared in this chunk, but our girl Lash gets impugned--nay, DEFAMED!--by your humble hosts. Elaine and Hary show off cool new magical gear, Harry cuts loose for the biggest spell he's cast since AT LEAST the Pyrofuego! that did in Bianca*!

Josh cries all over the microphone, Lyssy reads between the lines, and Elaine is annoyingly likeable!

We have 1 bajillion tea-kettles on, so there's a cuppa for everyone....unless I underestimated!? Slide on in, chunk 4 of White Night starts RIGHT NOW!!!

*say, what ever happened to the Velvet Room? Guess we'll never know....see ya next week for chapters 25-31!!

Wherein Little Chicago gains a peephole! Harry chases GrAy Cloak around a parking structure in real life, and into Undertown through the ethereal (great word, Lyss!) world of Little Chicago. Our wizard gets asked politely, but FIRMLY, to leave the secret meeting we stumble upon by our old buddy Cowl and gets a pounding headache as a parting gift. Bob is gross about Molly, Josh learns another dumb thing girls gotta worry about, and we get a couple more references to New Mexico.

We check in with future time-travelling Cowl, Ramirez (it only gets dumber if I explain it, so I don't) which is always a treat, Harry opens up to Molly about his past, and then goes off to accuse Beckitt of a bunch of murders without evidence! Josh and Lyssy, meanwhile share bad theories, but are fully ticketed and psched for Norwescon in 2 months where we cant wait to bump into Jimself (Jim, himself)! 

Come celebrate Medical Investiagtors Week with us, the corpse drawers arent as cold as they look, and I dont think that guy is gonna eat his slice of the pizza....or ever again. Chunk three of White Night starts......RIGHT NOW!!

Wherein Mouse takes the mantle of MAIN CHARACTER. Apparently some dude does magic or whatever, and the skull or warlock or whatever, whoever, who cares....THE PUPPY DOES MAGIC WOOFS!!! Mouse's secondary role, low-level partner does a cool threshold forzare blast, we get the return of Mouse's buddy's annoying adopted litter-mate--she can NOT be trusted--but Anna might have treats so Harry's on his own.

Mister gets an onion ring, Lyssy says the oldest GenX old lady stuff ever, Joshie references a novel from the future.....very poorly, but gets cold window de-coldifying advice in the easter egg.

White Night part two starts.......AS SOON AS SOMEONE ABSOLVES THOMAS I WONT STAND FOR THIS WHITE HERRING SHIT

Wherein Harry adds a warlock to the party! Our clever politician appeals to everyone in the room EXCEPT the dude who matters and nearly gets himself and Molly both flattened. But some quick--or rather veeeerrrrrry slow--thinking by the Gatekeeper allows Ebenezer and Michael, et al., to come through a way and interrupt proceedings. Molly gets the Doom of Damocles, Morgan and Harry get pretty-and-absolutely-not-at-all-dripping-with-deeper-meaning presents from the Summer Lady, Michael gets a mic-drop moment, Charity gives a hug, and Lasciel's good name is unfairly impugned (MUST BE SUNDAY!?).

We escaped the bad guys last week, so all that's left is to survive our encounter with the good guys! Try to avoid the stains on the concrete--the wardens hosted one helluva party in here last week!--and settle in for the conclusion of Proven Guilty........RIGHT NOW!!

Wherein Harry learns things aren't quite what they seem when you enlist faerie help. We rescue the damsel, de-dangly an ogre, out-scripture the church mom, and decide to be accountable for our actions.

Its an incredibly dense character development chunk that doubles as the action-scene climax of the A-plot, somehow--Jim, we are not worthy! The ice=prison intrigue asks the most questions, but the family reunion evokes the most tear. Don't worry about treading on holy ground, come in and celebrate with us, just this once! The penultimate Proven Guilty chunk (7/8) starts.....RIGHT NOW!

Wherein 10,000 pod downloads later, we are just getting started! Harry learns Charity Carpenter's deepest, darkest secret. Her closet isn't the only place for skeletons, as Queen Mab's front yard is littered in them too, and her housekeepers chose brimstone instead of pine fresh which certainly adds some potential complications to the upcoming confrontation at Arctis Tor! We get another chance to hang out with the chillest members of the Summer Court, but this is Charity's chunk and maybe even her novel. Harry and her patch up their relationship, Little Chicago is a success, and Thomas shows yet again that he is probably the only character in the series who understands how to interact with people--even outside of the whole incubus skillset!

Harry and crew solve the puzzle and set the stage for the big throwdown in one of the deepest parts of Faerie. Everybody cross your fingers that Mab is out, but even then its Team Murphy v powerful baddies at the source of their power on home turf. Lyssy celebrates another theory well proven, Josh is workshopping throuple ship names for Harry and the Carpenters (DresCarp? Charrychael?). Its moving day for Proven Guilty, so conveniently leave your super power on for a an extra couple seconds, light some candles--preferably purchased at Aunt B's Homemade Creations like mine was!--and settle in, cuz Proven Guilty part 6 starts......RIGHT NOW!!
