The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast

VERSE: I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. ISAIAH 43:19

POINT - 1: When the prophet heard these words of promise, he captured God's sense of excitement.

POINT - 2: He is the God of adventure. His desires for you are not stagnant.

POINT - 3: You need revelation from a higher perspective. And He can give it to you.

POINT - 4: Your wilderness may seem vast and permanent, but He sees the end of it. He is leading you through it.

TAKEAWAY: You will get to the destination He has planned for you, and you will find it more satisfying and fulfilling than you thought possible. Don’t get impatient; just listen, believe, and follow His instruction. He has already begun to do something new in you.

PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to see at least the next step, if not the whole path. I grow weary and wonder if I’m stuck where I am. But You put adventure in my heart. Lead me into every place You’ve prepared for me. As I’m faithful to the old, open my eyes to something new.

Most of us let life overwhelm us, and then we just go along with the current. What if instead, you were able to live your active life anchored to the voice of God?

Wouldn't it be amazing if God spoke to you during the active part of your day?

If He did, would you even notice Him speaking? Part of our mission is to help you notice! The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast will help you be a better listener, not just to God, but to everyone around you as well. Listening is a lost art, and when we cultivate the ability to listen deeply to God in prayer, we've suddenly found the secret ingredient that unlocks hearing His voice in the scriptures.

VERSE: It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them. PROVERBS 25:2

POINT - 1: God has a strange tendency to hide from those who are seeking Him and relentlessly pursue those who are not.

POINT - 2: He gives us a taste of His goodness, opens our ears to hear, and then steps back.

POINT - 3: He doesn’t normally thunder His voice from the heavens; He hides it in secret places and waits to see who is really hungry for it.

POINT - 4: That’s the way it works.

TAKEAWAY: God conceals deep secrets and then subtly provokes us to discover them. Will we continue in that search without losing heart? At times, that’s the very issue for the one who wants to hear Him speak. And the response must always drive us closer.

PRAYER: Lord, I’ll never give up my desire for more of You  —more closeness, better hearing, a deeper connection. Draw me closer and show me the secrets of Your heart.

VERSE: Though an army besieges me, my heart will not fear; though a war breaks out against me, even then I will be confident. PSALM 27:3, NIV

POINT - 1: I felt as if the whole world were against me as if I had vicious enemies who had conspired to strike at my most vulnerable points all at the same time.

POINT - 2: “Lord, I feel besieged. I’m overwhelmed. I don’t know what You’re doing and why these disasters are happening. Please, please help.”

POINT - 3: The situations wouldn’t change for some time  —in fact, some of them still look bad...

POINT - 4: I knew He was with me.

TAKEAWAY: He reminded me, somehow, through divinely orchestrated passing traffic, that I had every reason to be confident in Him.

PRAYER: Lord, there is no limit to the ways You can speak. Help me notice “coincidences” that apply Your general Word to my specific situations. Point me to Your long-ago truths that address my right-now needs.

VERSE | He is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. HEBREWS 8:6

POINT-1 | Twice we are reminded that Jesus offers us a “better covenant”—here and in Hebrews 7:22.

POINT-2 | We are redeemed in order to relate to Him. Personally.

POINT-3 | God has a better sense of timing than we do.

POINT-4 | Never fall for the deception that God’s general revelation to everyone precludes His personal conversation with us as individuals.

TAKEAWAY | He still speaks specifically into our particular circumstances and in response to our unique needs. He has not fallen silent. He has not sent us love letters from a distant land. He is here, with us and in us, always expressing His heart.

Lord, I embrace every word of Your revelation in Scripture, and I choose to take it personally. Yet I know You give specific direction, too, and I know You enjoy my company. Please keep our conversations lively and refreshing —and very unique to us.

Preparation is the key to success. Matthew and Michelle Adams take scripture...put it into first person in a "God Message", then place it into a very practical 'How can I use this?' format. Most importantly, they do so with deep respect for the source (God), His Word, and most importantly, to you, the listener.

VERSE | Go now, Daniel, for what I have said is kept secret and sealed until the time of the end. DANIEL 12:9

POINT-1 | A secret told but still secret?

POINT-2 | God sometimes speaks cryptically and lets the true meaning come to the surface over time.

POINT-3 | God not only did this in Scripture, but He also does it in our personal conversations with Him.

POINT-4 | Remember that the next time you’re holding on to a promise from God or a calling yet to be fulfilled.

TAKEAWAY | With God, the shortest distance between two points is rarely a straight line. It’s a winding road that He reveals along the way until, in the end, we finally understand.

Lord, Your secrets are still mysteries to me even after You tell them. Show me enough to keep me going. Help me keep the destination in view, regardless of how the path turns. Give me the faith to get there.

VERSE | A time to be quiet and a time to speak. ECCLESIASTES 3:7

POINT-1 | As human beings, we have a keen sense of critical moments.

POINT-2 | God does not operate on our schedule...

POINT-3 | God has a better sense of timing than we do.

POINT-4 | God sometimes gives us a glimpse of the big picture  —a vision or a calling to be fulfilled over time.

TAKEAWAY | Hang on. Don’t rush the process. If God hasn’t answered your question yet, it means only that the moment isn’t right. But it will be. He not only understands when it’s time to speak. He knows when it’s time to be quiet.

Note: The prophecy was fulfilled

Note: Resolved by the Voice of God through Isaiah

Takeaway: God has solutions, but we can experience them only if we know how to listen and cooperate.
