Dr. David Brown, Pastor Emeritus of the First Baptist Church in Oak Creek, has a Masters in Theology and a PhD in History, specializing in the history of the English Bible. Then in 2016, Pokémon Go came about and took the world by storm and guess what? That storm is resurging.Jim noted that in 2019, there were 1.5 billion Pokémon cards printed. That more than doubled in 2020 to 3.2 billion cards. Then it more than tripled by 2023 to 9.7 billion cards printed that single year. That's aside from the Pokémon toys, mugs, lunchboxes, watches, hats, gloves, sleeping bags, bedding sets, plush toys, clothing items, video games, cartoons, DVD's and more.Dr. Brown began by noting another shocking statistic. There are more than 90 million people involved in one of the aspects of Pokémon. 39% of those are women with the rest being men. So people of all ages are involved with the average age being 24.Dr. Brown described Pokémon as occultic and immoral. Parents don't seem to understand this and that would be due to the lack of a biblical worldview.
