It communicated that the ACA provides millions of Americans with the freedom and security for people to live life the way they want without the fear that one accident or illness will bankrupt them or their families.Twila agrees this was a very consequential law but she believes it didn't improve freedom or security. It gave us unaffordable premiums and deductibles and no other options. So from her perspective, there's nothing affordable about it and the price for care itself is not any lower. The high prices are at every level from care to coverage and in addition, the health plan is allowed to deny you access to care.
