  • EP. 150 Why This Canadian Mama Chose America

What makes a mama leave Canada and start over in America?

On this episode of The Real Mama Pod, we’re sitting down with Melinda, a Hindu mama, wife, and real estate professional who made the decision to move her family from Canada to the United States.

Melinda gets real about what influenced her family’s decision to move, the differences she experienced between Canadian and American education, salaries, maternity leave, and what it’s really like raising a family on the other side of the border.

We also talk about building a career in real estate, creating opportunities for your family, and the realities of starting over in a new country.

This conversation will have you asking: Could you leave everything you know behind if you believed it would create a better future for your family?

Tune in, share this episode with a mama who needs to hear it, and tell us in the comments: Would you choose to raise your family in Canada or America?

    • EP. 149 ABA by Day, Pilates by Passion

Hey mama, this week on The Real Mama Pod, we’re talking about the beautiful balancing act of motherhood, career, wellness, and making space for the things that bring you joy, with Tia Glover!

Our guest is a mama who works in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) while also pursuing her passion for Pilates. We’re getting into what inspired her career in ABA, what her work looks like, and how she balances supporting others while still finding time to pour into herself.

We’re also talking about motherhood, movement, self-care, and the importance of having something that makes YOU feel good outside of being a mom.

Because let’s be real, mama…you can be passionate about your family AND have passions that belong to you, too.

Tune in for a conversation about finding balance, following your passions, and remembering that taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your family.

Listen now and share this episode with a mama who needs the reminder to make space for herself, too!

      • EP. 148 Let’s Talk About the G Word | Gestational Diabetes, NICU Mom & Finding Her Way
What happens when a diagnosis changes your pregnancy, but you refuse to let it change who you are?

In this episode of The Real Mama Pod, we sit down with Titi, a Nigerian American mama who experienced gestational diabetes during ALL THREE of her pregnancies.

Titi gets real about what it was like to hear those words over and over again, take ownership of her diagnosis, and learn how to care for herself and her babies without losing the parts of herself that mattered most.

She found ways to create meals that supported her health while still honoring her Nigerian roots, culture, and the foods she grew up loving. Because sometimes motherhood asks us to make changes, but that doesn’t mean we have to lose ourselves in the process.

And then there’s her NICU story.

Titi opens up about becoming a NICU mom to a baby who was once medically fragile and the emotional journey of watching that same child grow and THRIVE. This is the kind of motherhood story that reminds you just how strong a mama can be when life doesn’t go according to plan.

This conversation is about gestational diabetes, motherhood, culture, NICU life, resilience, advocating for yourself, and finding a way to still be YOU through it all.

If you’ve ever received a diagnosis during pregnancy and thought, “Okay…now what?” this conversation is for you.
