Join me in The Red Treehouse as we explore a good, old fashioned, and terrifying haunted house--The Sallie House. Considered one of the most haunted locations in the United States, this seemingly normal and modest home is inhabited by the spirit of a young girl, Sallie, who may have died tragically in the home. Except, some believe Sallie isn't the spirit of a young girl; but rather, a demon using Sallie as a cover.

What spirits lie behind the walls of this seemingly normal home in Atchison, Kansas? Is it truly the most haunted house in the United States? And if given the chance, would you spend a night by yourself?

Join me in The Red Treehouse as we explore a terrific horror fiction story: A Therapy Session, written by C.A. Serna. Of all the stories and topics we’ve covered on The Red Treehouse, my absolute favorites are the Listener Stories. I’m always honored when a listener sends in a spooky experience and am always excited to narrate these scary stories to keep you up at night.

Midway through recording, I had to stop, because...well, you'll just have to hear the rest of the story and experience it for yourself.

So, sit back, pull up the covers, and pay close attention as I read, A Therapy Session.

Join me in The Red Treehouse as we explore the dark, disturbing--and genuinely terrifying--case of Maurice Theriault. After making a pact with the Devil as a teenager, Maurice began experiencing horrifying phenomena--bleeding eyes, upside crosses carved into his skin, bi-location, and more. This case has all the typical possession elements--and a few, terrifying new ones.

Did his pact with the Devil lead to demonic possession? Or were his erratic and violent behaviors caused by something else entirely?

Join me in The Red Treehouse as I read you a classic horror story--The Vampyre, by John William Polidori. A terrific gothic horror story, this was part of a writing contest that also produced Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. And, you may not know this, but The Vampyre was published nearly 80 years before Dracula, by Bram Stoker.

Follow Aubrey as he comes face-to-face with his greatest fear--a vampyre known as Lord Ruthven

Join me in The Red Treehouse, as we explore the infamous--and still unsolved--Lizzie Borden Murders. Back in 1892, someone hacked Andrew and Abby Borden to death with a hatchet. The attack was brutal and violent; and all signs and evidence pointed to Andrew's youngest daughter, Lizzie. Did she commit literal axe murder or did someone else commit the brutal killings? And is the Borden House haunted?

Join me in The Red Treehouse as I read you a classic horror story--The Shadow in the Corner by M.E. Braddon. This one is a terrific gothic horror story with suicide and murder as the backdrop. A suspenseful story that will give you the creeps, this one, at its core, makes you wonder if you should ever second-guess someone when they tell you they saw a ghost and they’re frightened.

Because to disbelieve might just lead to tragedy. Do you believe in ghosts? I promise you this story will have you looking over your shoulder and avoiding looking at the dark corner of your room.

So, sit back, pull up the covers, and pay close attention as I read The Shadow in the Corner.
