Today we have Brett Wetzel who is the Troubleshooting and Technical Training Manager for CoolSys and the co-host of the Advanced Refrigeration Podcast. 

In this episode, Brett talked about his experience working on CO2 systems. 

From secondary pumped CO2 systems and CO2 Cascade systems to Transcritical booster system.  

Brett breaks down service calls and talks about things you want to look for when troubleshooting CO2 systems.

He is qualified to install all kinds of air conditioning systems including chillers, split units, and refrigerant handlers, along with multiple other types of chillers and freezers.

He has also worked inside homes building control panels and some project management.

What causes floodback or low superheat in a refrigeration system?   Floodback is when you have a lot of liquid refrigerant coming back to the compressor, and superheat is the difference between the actual temperature and the saturation temperature.  So how do you prevent floodback from happening?
