Resource used in Self-Discovery: Facebook Memories.  I applied discernment regarding an old Facebook memory, and it gave me so much clarity!  I recognized where I was at in my self-discovery based on the post because of who I still had in my life at that time.    I was selective with whom I let get away with things and had blind loyalty, choosing to stay loyal to people who were not loyal to me.

Self-Discovery Story! While deep in Self-Discovery, I revisited old memories of my father, who had passed away when I was 6  in 1983.   I was very connected to my father in the short years we had together, but his memory was quickly destroyed after he passed.  I knew nothing of him as a man or had no interest in finding out until I was going through self-discovery.  Thirty-eight years later, I found old letters that my father's students had written him while he was sick in the hospital; these letters sent me on a path to discover who my father was and reconnected me to my sister. 

Through these letters, I saw my father through the eyes of his students and peers, which made me want to know him as a man.   From my investigation and research, I know him, we're now connected; from getting to know myself, I now know my father.  I'm confident that we are continuing his legacy, and we want to continue to honor him as the great man that he was known to all. 

Revisit memories with your new Self-Discovery, Self-Loved eyes, you will gain new information.  Everything is connected.

Being in two marriages, opposite ends of the spectrum has taught me a great deal.  Living with FSHD Muscular Dystrophy has shown me the importance of life and led me to find self-love. 

When I lacked love for myself and my condition, it showed in every aspect of my life, especially in my marriage.  I married someone who didn't care about me or my situation.  I know now that I would not have been able to heal if I stayed in that toxic relationship, which would have worsened my condition. 

 Being in a healthy partnership has allowed me to focus on my healing.  We work together; he understands and empathizes with what I am physically and mentally going through.  He understands what my mission is and is helping me achieve my goal.   

Self-Love is the key to an enriched life; finding a partner who knows the value will contribute to your healing.

Being able to make peace with betrayal allows you to continue living life.  If we stop living because someone hurt us, we haven't learned the lesson from it. 

Finding self-love allows you to be loyal to yourself first, then see a betrayal from those around us to be about them, not you.  Someone who is not dedicated to themselves can't be genuinely loyal to anyone else.   Make peace with what has happened to you so you can move forward.  Be free... let it go!
