Happy Tuesday afternoon to all of my pet-loving friends! This is a special episode of The Renegade Writer’s Mouthy Musings. It’s been a banner day for my little dog, Mooch. She got to go buh-bye and then took a walk to the park with me. But something even cooler than that happened.
Mooch joined Substack. No shit. Libby the Mooch has her own SS newsletter, “The Mouthiest Little Mooch.” You’re going to want to tune in for this shit. Imagine articles written from her perspective, sort of a cross between Ren from Ren & Stimpy and Joe Pesci in Goodfellas.
She’s little, she’s adorable, and she’s mouthy as fuck.
You’ll see. Give this episode a download and listen, I’ll tell you all about it, plus a little backstory of how she came into our family and how her nickname “Mooch” came to be. We both appreciate your kind, encouraging support. Give her a free or a paid subscribe if you can. We’ll get her some dog treats with it! &:^)

Hey, fellow Boomers/Gen-Xers,
Christ on a Chromebook, I’m having issues today. My kids like to tease me about being old since I recently turned 50. Hell, they’ve been doing it for years now.
Little bastards. So much for their inheritance. Mooch gets it all.
Speaking of Mooch, I had planned to do a live video with her as a test run to see how this live broadcasting feature works on Substack. But I can’t seem to get it together on my laptop. I do see an option on my phone, but I was hoping to avoid having to hold it above my head, the angle that minimizes this fucking double chin.
Plus I just got back from the gym, my first workout in a month. I don’t need the camera shaking all over the place after my triceps workout.
Anyway, you’ll have to settle for a regular audio podcast. I’ll figure out the video option later. Give me some feedback as to whether you can go live on a Chromebook or not, leave me a comment, perhaps? Alright, here we go with the usual program! &:^)

Happy Sunday to you all!
J’m just chilling here with Mooch on a nice lazy Sunday afternoon. I ran out to pick up my daughters and stopped by the grocery store earlier to make a nice Italian Sunday dinner for the family.
In today’s podcast, I talk about how we enjoy most nights at home with our kids rather than going out all of the time. Though we did have a fun visit at our friends’ house last night, that was a blast. But generally speaking, we tend to enjoy our downtime at home with our kiddos. Perhaps you can relate.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy today’s podcast and find it relaxing, like weekend plans should be. Cheers to you all and thank you as always for listening to The Renegade Writer’s Mouthy Musings. I appreciate all of you who subscribe and support my work. I’ll chat with you again tomorrow! &:^)

Happy Saturday afternoon, Everyone!
I was thinking about the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul fight after I finally watched it this morning. No shit, it buffered off and on for two hours last night, and I finally gave up trying to watch it. I figured I’d be able to see it in the morning when not as many people were trying to watch it live.
That was a good choice. I was tired and cranky by 11 PM last night. I didn’t feel the need to fuck with it any further at that point.
Doing whatever I feel like at age 50 is something I love about being this age. My Give-a-Fuck is broken beyond repair at this stage of life, and I’m all about that. In today’s episode of our podcast, I talk about doing things the way I feel like doing them without a second thought or worry about what anyone else thinks about it.
Including my writing and podcasting. Especially so.
We should all be that free in our lives. Reaching this place some years ago has been wonderful. Let me tell you what 50 and beyond looks like for this mouthy Renegade Writer. I hope you can relate. Thank you for lending me your ears. &:^)

Good afternoon everyone, and Happy Friday to you! In today’s podcast, I’m going to talk about a bad man and why I’m choosing to root for him.
And no, it’s not Donald J. Shitler.
I’m feeling nostalgic tonight, and in a better mood than I’ve been this week. Mental health can be a tough thing during times of stress and duress. I have some welcome family time coming this evening with my daughters. We’re going to make some mega-gut-bomb nachos for dinner, toss back a few beers or a glass of vino, and party like it’s 1999.
Thank God it’s Friday. Cheers to you enjoying yours with the people you love. &:^)

Well hey, Y’all! I’m back with a new episode, recorded shortly after a 90-minute episode with my good friend K.R. Byers over at his studio. It had been about 45 days since our last full-length podcast, and goddamn, it felt good to do another one again, finally!
I’m pretty wiped out after two in a row, it kind of shows in my shorter, second podcast here. But he and I kicked ass on the earlier one. Look for it soon. I posted a video of his badass studio he’s been working on for our podcast. Check it out in my Notes section when you have a second.
Thank you all for your amazing support of our work. We couldn’t do it without you. I appreciate all of our new free and paid subscribers. You’re a huge motivation to work hard to bring you new articles and podcasts daily.
All right, I need some downtime after a busy day. Enjoy this one and I’ll be back tomorrow. Love to you all, from me, Mooch, and our new post-election scream pillow, generously sent to us from my sisters from other misters, Karen Marie Shelton and Robin Wilding! You two are the BEST, thank you so much! &:^)

Hey Everyone.
Apologies if today’s podcast isn’t as light-hearted as usual. I’ve been in a darker mood than I typically am. Perhaps it’s the article I wrote this morning titled, “Dear Daddy, Your Vote Broke My Heart”. That was a sad one to write, from the perspective of a MAGA-voting man’s young daughter.
Maybe it was some other news I learned about Donald Trump Jr. and Elon Musk looking to purchase social media and writing sites, presumably to censor people talking shit about Donald Trump. Or to possibly arrest writers who write those types of articles. I mentioned the possibility of becoming an enemy of the state this week in my podcast.
Perhaps it’s just the blustery, windy, rainy weather. That shit was cold when I was walking Mooch. Who knows? Regardless, I need to snap out of it and be a better fella. Today has been rough. You may notice it in today’s podcast. Bear with me, leave me some nice comments, and please give me a free or paid subscribe if you’re able to.
You guys always cheer me up, your support means everything. Thank you for your patience and kindness. I’ll snap out of it soon, I always do. Thank you for listening. &:^)

Hey, Happy Tuesday, Sinners and Saints! I had a thought today before recording my new episode of TRWMM. I enjoyed a meeting I attended this morning.
No, it wasn’t a traditional church service. Or Alcoholics Anonymous. Dicks.
It was something though that took up time I usually can’t afford to spare. I sometimes commit to things that I know are good for me and then dread following through with them. But end up feeling much better afterward. Such was the case today.
I’ll tell you all about it in today’s episode, so please give it a listen. As always, I appreciate your kind, continual support. You guys make doing this daily so worthwhile. Thank you for your free and paid subscriptions, both types mean the world to me.
All right, let’s get this start. Let’s GOOOOOOO!

Hello, my technology-loving friends! If you’re anything like me, you enjoy your phones, laptops, PCs, and Internet when they’re actually functioning. Sadly, today was a bad day for me in that regard.
Our damn power went out for almost three hours. Talk about screwing up my pretty strict writing and podcasting routine. And don’t get me started about how worried I was about the food in our refrigerators. Especially on my daughter’s 21st birthday, with us planning to cook tonight. Marone!
In today’s episode, I talk about the concept of habits. How we tend to stick to our routine and become creatures of habit. I know this hits close to home for me. It helps me to produce new writing and podcasts daily, which I love doing. Check this one out and let me know in the comments if you lean that way or if do things more randomly.
I appreciate you all listening and subscribing. This is sure a lot of fun. Thank you for making it possible and for motivating me to entertain you daily! &:^)

Happy Sunday, my freedom-loving Friends!
I was thinking about how much different our country might look in January 2025, once Donald Trump has taken office for a second term. I have my theories about the varying degrees of fuckery his reign of terror may involve. It made me wonder if I might become an enemy of the state.
That’s a scary thought for most. But not for this mouthy Renegade Writer.
I’ll be raging against the machine through my writing and podcasting, regardless of what’s shaping up. If I have to leave the country to continue doing the things I do the way I want them done, so be it. I’m already taking the steps necessary to relocate internationally if need be. I’ve always wanted to travel and see more of the world, so fuck it. Let’s GOOOOOOOO!
Thank you for listening to today’s episode. If you haven’t become a subscriber, please do so. Whether you’re on board for free or have the means to give us a paid sub, any scenario means the world to me. I’ll keep fighting for your rights, through my written or spoken words. We’ve got this, America.
Be safe. Keep your eyes open. And enjoy your Sunday. Life is good, so be good to each other. &:^)
