Welcome to The Ride of My Life – Poem Talks!  

After a year of deep diving into healing work and finding out about who I am and who I’ve been in my life, I share the poems I have written over this time that document the journey inside of me. Who am I really? I am Love and this is my Journey.   

I was working through the grief of the new changes in my life and then on 6/17/2021, I began the walk into the depths of my journey and my soul to find out the truth about myself questioning where I would end up. After leaving my relationship/partnership and moving to Central Florida for a couple of months, which ended up being 8 months, it pushed me into the re-birthing process of the truth of who I am. Life doesn't always work out the way we planned and in the time I was there, I confronted my darkness and what I brought to the jobs, relationships and life I had experienced. I learned in order to truly heal, I needed to grieve, forgive myself and others and find the love inside me.   

In this video, I go into how we want to be seen and heard. The children, the inner children, the little one inside of me who didn't feel either. The little girl who just wanted to be loved, adored and wanted. That woman now knows how to do that. I hear and see me now!

In this video, I talk about how locked up I got in the lies I was told about myself and how others could not understand me or who I really am. The system taught us these things so we could fit into this world, into the box. My challenge has always been that I was so far outside the box, I would never fit in. It took many years, and I finally made the choice to dig in and find the truth of me. I felt so alone during the process, it really scared me. Grieving and letting all of my feelings surface was what got me through. It helped me to find my voice.

She walked me through the first steps of the process she uses with her clients, and as a writer, I can honestly say it brought me into a space of safety within myself to find my muse. Linda Griffin is a published author, keynote speaker, and writing and self-publishing coach who teaches coaches, consultants, and other professionals how to capture their wisdom in a book making it accessible to more people who can benefit from it. In the process, her clients increase their authority and thought leadership position in their chosen market. Linda developed the Author Fast Track Program based on her experiences in writing and publishing a book. After leaving a successful corporate career, Linda was looking for a new challenge and settled on Entrepreneurship. She explored several niches and offerings but none of them met her need to be of service to others while supporting her desired work life balance.  These included career coaching, general small business marketing, and niche marketing to the bed and breakfast industry. After publishing her first book, Linda came across so many other people who wanted to publish and decided to focus solely on helping thought leaders get published. For fun, Linda loves to make greeting cards, read mystery novels, and solve puzzles of all kinds. She lives in Virginia in the Washington D.C metro area with her dog, Bugsy.

In this video, I talk about how confused I was in my life in knowing who I am. Being taught the ways of the world and how to separate myself from myself, always believing my father wanted a boy and tried to mold me into what he envisioned for my life to replace what he could not accomplish in his own. Finding the Divine Feminine in myself and connecting it to my Divine Masculine, I came to begin to recognize the gentleness, strength and balance I hold inside.

In this video, I talk about continuing to go into the darkness. Remembering not knowing who I was or what direction to in as a lost 27-year-old mother with a 3-year-old. I never had anyone to guide me or support me emotionally and had to figure things out on my own. The realization and awareness that it all brought me to was my strength that I never believed I had and how could I not? We are all strong, it is the journey that helps us to remember and...

In this episode, I connect with Margot Dragon, as we talk about mental, emotional, physical and spiritual healing. We go into her very profound story of her traumas and how she got through them to bring her gifts to the world and write her book, The Silent Suicide, The Link Between PTSD, Addiction and Cancer, which brings the reader into more connection with understanding how trauma, eating and cancer are linked and also explains ways of working through it all. It covers a broad range of topics from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Medicine, Chakras, and the Mother-Child Bond which is deeply linked to dis-ease and healing. I found it to be a very powerful awakening and wake up call and for myself was fully interested in how the Mother-Child Bond (or lack thereof) plays a huge roll in our health.

Margot Dragon practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, Asian Food Therapy, NLP and Hypnosis in Concord, NC for over 10 years. She has firsthand experience working with cancer patients as well as cooking for them across the country. In her practice she focuses on the mind, body and spirit connection to illnesses such as cancer to help the patients understand the deeper meaning to their disease. She has also participated in clinical research with Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Women’s University while finishing her two masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas.

In this video, I talk about the process of diving deeply into places that were really scary for me and sitting with the pain that was coming up. Doing this alone was not an easy thing AND it was really necessary for me to go through it. I literally felt like I was diving into an abyss with no way out. By beginning to turn away from situations and people that no longer served me, in discovering me, I was able to start to recognize who I really am. I will say it was a long and slow journey because it felt like there were "monsters" at every turn. Those "monsters" turned out to be my beliefs about myself.
