What kind of change though? That is the question. The American people’s trust in the FBI and our national intelligence agencies is at an all-time low, and for good reasons, as Lt Col Gabbard pointed out in her confirmation hearing you just saw. The overt politicization of these organizations has resulted in multiple layers of failures to protect the American people and are so brazen, the FBI even denied the January 1 New Orleans terrorist attack was even related to ISIS or a terrorist attack at all initially, even though the evidence was clear for all to see. Intelligence agency leaders lied and tampered with our elections and are in fact attempting to sabotage the second Trump administration’s policy implementation. The evidence is very clear that FBI leaders are insubordinate to DOJ directives over the January 6 case agents and participant identification requests. It even appears leaks about ICE raids to arrest illegal aliens might have been leaked by the FBI, putting law enforcement agent’s lives at high risk. This level of abysmal performance of duties intended to keep Americans secure and safe must be addressed immediately, or people will die needlessy. My guest today is Chris Piehota, a former Senior Executive Assistant Director who retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after nearly 25 years of experience as a recognized leader who led complex national security investigations, international security programs, and covert operational technology platforms. We believe there is no difference between us, regardless of the circumstances we were born into. The newest Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth says it best, our Unity is our greatest strength. Even in the recent times of attempts to divide us by things like skin color again through misguided policies, we do not see our teammates through that lens, only the lens of our common mission, fighting and winning America’s wars. Charles Jackson French saw things the same way on that day he volunteered to return to Navy service after Pearl Harbor, and he certainly proved it through his heroic actions of great valor to save his shipmates without regard for his own safety after the USS Gregory was sunk in combat off the coast of Guadalcanal in 1942. Petty Officer French’s story is intertwined with our own, and the history of our country. We are responsible for honoring Charles story, but telling it to our children and grandchildren, for those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it, as the saying goes. Petty Officer French’s story is also one of human frailty. He apparently suffered from post traumatic stress, as many of our veterans today suffer, and passed away relatively young in life, addicted to alcohol as a likely way to sooth his demons. Today I’m honored to have as my guest Carole Engel Avriett today. Carole is a military historian and author of a wide variety of Christian books, as well as having been the Homes editor for Southern Living Magazine. America’s veterans have traveled many tough and dangerous paths in our service to our country. We, as a community, have struggled for many years to end the tragedy of “22 a day” suicides with very little impact on that number, and as you just heard, there is believed to be an alarming surge to upwards to as many as 44 veteran suicides a day now. We do however have individual successes and maybe that is the answer, there is no common solution, but we have to create millions of individual solutions. That is why you see veterans starting groups like the one highlighted in our opening, CheckAVet, helping one veteran at a time. All of America is pulling for us and now President Trump is moving veterans’ suicide to the top of his priority list. We all look forward to seeing the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs, former Congressman Dough Collins, wade into this challenge immediately. My guest today is author and retired US Army SSG Robert J. Quayle III. Robert has a unique back- ground as he served in the army twice, from 1983 to 1992 and again at the age of forty-three, when the economy col- lapsed from 2008 to 2013. Following his first enlistment, he began a career in finance and banking, working various positions such as an insurance agent, branch manager, business banking officer, loan officer, and financial adviser. Robert found himself on a dark trail that nearly led to his own suicide but was thankfully able to avert that tragedy. One of the positive results of his recovery is his book titled Bobby, There Is Always Light at the End of the Tunnel, written with the hope of preventing at least one suicide.🇺🇸Colonel's Brief is a reader-supported publication. The IG’s office is supposed to be an independent watchdog providing oversight of an organization by investigating things like whistleblower reports when decisions by leaders in those organizations run afoul of the law and policy, usually harming innocent people. But that doesn’t appear to be what is happening and that is why President Trump’s Friday night firing of 17 IG’s at the start of his administration is appropriate. You see friends, these entrusted positions are actually being used to cover for bad leaders, bad decisions, and the crushing of whistleblowers. That is unacceptable and must change. Those of us with military experience with the DOD IG system know this corruption very well and some have organized to change it and make it work the way it is supposed to. My guest today is Lt Col Ryan Sweazey, USAF fighter pilot, Founder and President of the Walk the Talk Foundation - a nonprofit that provides assistance to victims of reprisal in our uniformed services. More horrific stories are beginning to emerge out of Western North Carolina after President Trump’s visit shortly after taking office. Haven on the Hill confirms “over 50 families” have been living like refugees for 4 months, relying on donations of food and propane to make ends meet. With the discovery of corrupt spending reports coming out of USAID such as $50 million for condoms to Hamas Terrorists in Gaza and more millions of dollars on transgender propaganda in South American countries, I’m more infuriated than ever how my people in Western North Carolina have been treated by our government. Not everything is doom and gloom as we’ve got a new Acting FEMA Director, former Navy Seal and friend of the show Cameron Henry is now on the job and he gets it. And yes, neighbors are still helping neighbors these many months after Helene devastated the area. They are known to the locals as their angels. Shawn Hendrix has over 25 years of experience in film in tv which would eventually lead him to competing in a MrBeast challenge to survive 100 days in a circle. But that is the true context of the Russia-Ukraine war, NATO expansion was always our plan, to include Ukraine, and Russia was never going to accept that eventuality. President Trump said during the campaign he could end the war in a day and just wants to stop the killing. Then he retired Army Lt Gen Keith Kellogg as his peace envoy to the effort. General Kellogg does a have a plan, but it seems it will take much longer to get Russia to agree with the proposal, which frankly, seems like a non-starter on its face and key parts have been rejected by Russia already. The good news is we now have a President that wants to achieve peace and isn’t constrained to one set of ideas from even his own appointees. One of those voices is my guest today, national security strategist David Pyne. David is a former U.S. Army combat arms and Headquarters staff officer, who oversaw armaments cooperation with the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas from 2000-2003. Hiring personnel for critical positions in professions such as air traffic control should be based on merit, the best qualified for eth job. Unfortunately, under the Biden administration hiring for air traffic controllers and other positions at the federal aviation administration was based on race, gender, and other disabilities instead of merit. Why is that important? You just heard it, last night’s deadly crash in Washington DC has tower controllers directly involved, in addition to an Army and civilian aircrews, whose organizations have all done non-merit hiring these past few years, and that means we must investigate if the controllers involved were the best qualified when hired. The Trump administration is taking a new direction and eliminating DEI hiring, especially at the Pentagon, to restore faith in our armed forces. You just heard the truth about J6 from someone that were there but what you will hear today from disgraced DC US Attorney Matthew Graves during this show are lies. The disgusting DC swamp judicial system falsely accused and convicted over 1500 Americans, and even just days before President Trump took office again, was arresting Americans on trumped up January 6th charges. These arrests and prosecutions went so far beyond anything that has ever been done before for political protests, the word ludicrous to describe them isn’t adequate. The sentence lengths were astounding compared to how the law has been applied to protesters from the other side of the political spectrum in this country. Sentence enhancements were sought on defendants for no logical reasons, other than Graves and his crowd have admitted, than to make examples out of citizens exercising their rights to confront the powerful with the truth as they understand it. Americans like Matthew Perna committed suicide over these unfair and unnecessary enhancements. I am completely disgusted to be associated with an America with such a double standard legal system. Today we expose Graves lies and show you how he went after an American who never saw any rioting that day, didn’t break anything, didn’t go into the building, and only stood outside and took video for a few minutes. What a mess, or is it? The more time goes by as the Los Angeles fires rage, destroy property and take lives, the death toll is at 25 now, the more questions go unanswered. The leftists in charge keep yelling climate change causes this while the reality is, at least some of these fires have been started by arson, so is this some kind of eco-terrorist attack using illegal aliens? Or is it simply incompetence and corruption? Forrest management practices in California have been a root cause of devasting wildfires across the state for years, and publicly identified as a problem, but public officials continue to restrict good forest management practices, letting the fuel pile up. The initial response was also inadequate with water shortages caused by bad policies and a very slow activation of reserve forces that can help, such as the national guard! These are just a few of the horror stories from this disaster. My guest today is a Southern California native who has direct experience with crisis responses in the state and is deeply knowledgeable of the threats we face from bad policies and bad people in our country illegally.
