Ellen DeGeneres ends off her shows usually by saying "Be kind to one another". But now it seems that this could have just been a little blowing off smoke. Recent allegations that have swept the internet from multiple staffers and guests elude to the fact that Ellen was not the nicest person to be around. Accusations from having her staff tell people not to look at her all the way to her toxicity have many people wondering just how nice she really is. Well, I am not going to lie, I am a huge fan of Ellen, but with all these things swirling, I may have to audit how nice she really is. Mrs. Holtz joins me on the show to talk about all of this tea! Enjoy and as always, reach out to me on social media and let me know what you think!
Much love,
#TeamHoltz

Montell Jordan (born Montell Du'Sean Barnett; December 3, 1968), is an American pastor, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Best known for his 1995 single "This Is How We Do It", Jordan was the primary male solo artist on Def Jam's Def Soul imprint until leaving the label in 2003.
Having a chance to interview and chop it up with Montell was def one of my big goals for this show, I have been listening to "this is how we do it" since the '90s. Montell is a fixture and pioneer in the music industry and a true trendsetter. Montell has created hit after hit but most importantly has been born again as a pastor. His story is one that we can all learn from and I hope you sincerely listen to this podcast a million times! We talk about everything from a counterfeit life to living your best life on purpose.
Reach out to Montell and check out his book and new record here.

Its the return of recreation, but not without some caveats. July marks the first month since the pandemic began when professional athletes are returning to work. COVID-19 has marked the biggest disruption to the sports calendar in recent memory, while the current social climate is raising questions about what we call our teams and whether or not we can do better. Sports are back in the headlines and this week local podcaster and marketing expert Ryan Holtz joins us to talk about the mounting pressure to change the name of the Edmonton CFL team. In hockey news, germ guy Jason Tetro joins us to break down the NHL bubble as we prepare to become a hub city. Plus, reporter Kashmala Fida talks about a crackdown on Edmonton car meets, and a weather wunderkind might steal Tara's (other) job.

I had the delight of being a panelist on CBC's 1 hour special called WE NEED TO TALK: Systemic Racism In Alberta. Enjoy the clip and let me know your thoughts!

CBC hosts Sandra Batson and Tanara McLean held a free, public forum discussion on Thursday, June 25, to shine a light on systemic racism in Alberta, through the stories of people who have experienced it firsthand.
We Need to Talk was an opportunity to hear from individuals with a real and personal understanding of how systemic racism operates in Alberta, with an aim to put forward potential solutions, concrete actions, and examples of success.
Following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man killed by white police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis on May 25, communities across the globe began to protest in the streets, calling for justice and change.
In Alberta's cities and rural towns, thousands have taken up the call, participating in some of the largest marches in recent memory to spotlight anti-Black injustices within the province itself.

Evan believes in entrepreneurs. At 19, he built then sold a biotech software company. At 22, he was a venture capitalist helping raise $500k to $15mil. He now runs the biggest YouTube channel for entrepreneurs with 2M+ subscribers, wrote 4 books & speaks globally. He wants to solve the world's biggest problem. He's set 2 world records, uses a trampoline & stand-up desk, owns Canada's largest Salsa Dance Studio & has a giant Doritos bag in front of him all day long to remind him that he's stronger than the Doritos. Toronto is his home. He's a husband, father, TSM fan & Teemo Main.
I wanted to have Evan on the show as he is all about believing and giving value to help other humans reach their full potential and unlock their true selves. We are all about providing you value, being curious and most of all, PROVOKE.
As you listen, I open up this episode by referencing the video that Evan's assistant sent over in preparation for our interview. I thought it was amazing, that Evan even tries to help those that interview him. This is why he is who he is with the impact that he has. What was really interesting, is in the video, Evan said "use this time we have together as almost like a coaching call, as the questions/struggles you have will often be shared by other. Be vulnerable." Well, as you know our mandate is curiosity and having REAL talk. This podcast was all about that! I used the podcast to have Evan guide me through my own aspirations and struggles. I hope you enjoy this and I know there is much value to be had!
– #TeamHoltz
