What do you think about Joe Rogan's $100M deal with Spotify?
This is massive for the media and advertising world with a huge focus on content creators such as podcasters etc.
Quick hits:
Spotify's shares increased by 5 BILLION dollars since inking Joe
Traditional radio has become somewhat of a jukebox player with less focus on talent
Media platforms such as Spotify & Netflix are seeking top tier talent to attract eyeballs and attention
60% of podcast consumption is 60% iTunes but that could change
YouTube lost royally in this deal
Joe Rogan said Charlamagne Tha God might be last good radio host publicly

Swish (Manu) Goswami, 23, has built a multi-hyphenate career. He is a serial tech entrepreneur (CEO & Founder of Trufan which recently acquired SocialRank), LinkedIn Youth Editor, three-time TEDx speaker (signed with the Speakers Spotlight & The AAT Project), and UN Youth Ambassador.
I wanted to have Swish on as his energy and outlook on life and success is truly fascinating and next level. I watched a clip of Swish's Ted Talk and loved how he told his story, but also how he designed his life to meet his needs and also bring value to himself, allowing him to better serve people. He made a massive network comprised of NBA players all the way to high net worth VCs. He believes in delivering value upfront so that it is a win-win situation for those he is trying to build a relationship with. He truly believes in hearing 99 no's to get that 1 yes.
You will love this interview as it will teach you the art of selling in 2020 to truly provide value to your customers and your LIFE.

LIVE from Toronto, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Rhiannon Rosalind, CEO of The Economic Club Of Canada to chat about her experience interviewing the 44th president of The United States, Barack Obama. This beautiful conversation went far deeper than Barack Obama. We touched on equality, alcoholism and the lack of representation amongst minorities in the business community. We also touched on inspirational messages and guidances that helped shape Rhiannon from the time she was a little girl. We also chat about how the labour force in Canada needs to more soft skills to move us forward as a collective. This conversation is pure magic full of trials and tribulations. Rhiannon is truly an amazing human and we are thankful that she took time ON A SUNDAY to come on the show during our visit to Toronto. We are happy to introduce you to this incredible human.

Rest In Peace Kobe aka Black Mamba, Giana and the other 7 humans that lost their life. We still cannot believe that Kobe has passed away. It is a jolting reality of how short life is and how we need to all hug our loved ones and give thanks for waking up. I was a basketball fanatic and watched Kobe over the 2 decades play.
This podcast is dedicated to you Kobe!
Rest in power and peace.
Much Love,
#TeamHoltz
Kobe's BIO From Wikipedia.
Kobe Bean Bryant (/ˈkoʊbiː/; August 23, 1978 – January 26, 2020) was an American professional basketball player. A shooting guard, Bryant played his entire 20-season career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Los Angeles Lakers. He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA championships. Bryant was an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, and the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). Widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time,[3][4][5][6] he led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, ranks fourth on the league's all-time regular season scoring, and ranks fourth on the all-time postseason scoring list. Bryant was the first guard in NBA history to play at least 20 seasons. According to Forbes, Bryant's net worth was estimated at $350 million in 2016.[7]
Bryant was the son of former NBA player Joe Bryant. He attended Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as the top high-school basketball player in the country. Upon graduation, he declared for the 1996 NBA draft and was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th overall pick; the Hornets then traded him to the Lakers. As a rookie, Bryant earned himself a reputation as a high-flyer and a fan favorite by winning the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest, and he was named an All-Star by his second season. Despite a feud between the two players, Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal led the Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships from 2000 to 2002.
