Today on The Secret Sits, we are going to discuss July 15th 1976.  A day that the community of Chowchilla, California would like to forget, however; it is a piece of the town’s history.  On this day, in this town a crime was committed that transfixed the entire nation and affected many people in this small farming community.  Today, we are going to discuss the Chowchilla school bus kidnapping.

In the world of True Crime, one has to accept on some level that there are cases that just remain unsolved.  Cases where there aren’t enough clues, or evidence to find the culprit, more less convicting said culprit.  But in today’s case, there is evidence, evidence in the form of the killer’s voice and image captured on the smartphone of a smart girl.  I’m John Dodson and today on The Secret Sits, we are going to look into the yet unsolved case of The Delphi Murders.

Today on The Secret Sits we are going to explore another listener request.  Now this case is a prime example of how teenage peer pressures mixed with childhoods full of sexual and physical abuse can form the perfect tempest.  It also shows how rapidly things can deteriorate when no one speaks up for the victim.  Today on The Secret Sits, we are going to explore the shocking murder of Shanda Sharer.

Hello and welcome to the Secret Sits.  On today’s episode we will be discussing a rarer form of True Crime stories, but one that is fascinating none the less.  This story includes literary giants, the FBI and famous celebrities from old Hollywood, the only problem with this, is that these luminaries had no idea they were ever involved.  Today on The Secret Sits, we are going to delve into one of the most famous Literary Forgers in history, Lee Israel.

Here on The Secret Sits, we are digging into all forms of True Crime.  And I know that all of us, root for a survivor, a hero or heroine to themselves or to others around them.  It gives us some form of relief from the gruesomeness and horrid things happening all around us.  It also gives us hope that if somehow one day, we find ourselves in one of these senseless situations, we can recall the story of a true badass survivor and let it be our guiding light out of our own darkness.

Today we are going to talk about the Survival and fortitude of Mary Vincent.

Today on the Secret Sits we are going to explore one of the most noteworthy mass shootings in the United States of America, and the reason I am saying noteworthy is because this was also one of the first widely reported mass shootings, in a time when everyone felt they still lived in a relatively safe and civilized society. But then, just like all of our stories, there is a secret.  And this secret may have actually been buried in the physical brain of Charles Joseph Whitman.

Do you love art?  I mean, do you make plans, maybe even an entire trip or vacation . . . to go see art?  You see, I love art.  I always have.  And just what is art?  There are many different types of art, there is; theatre, music, painting, sculpture, writing or sketching just to name a few.  I love all forms of art and I have lived in the world of the arts, my entire life.

So, I thought that today on The Secret Sits we would cover an Art case.  And not just any art case, today we are going to discuss the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Heist.

Today, I would like to start by asking you a question.  What are the True Crime cases that keep you up at night?  That you find fascinating for one reason or another?  That you know could be solved, if just the right person heard the story. Well, today on The Secret Sits we are elated to give you our first ever Listener request episode.  This is a fascinating case that made national headlines, for all the wrong reasons.  Today, we are discussing the murder of Jennifer Levin by The Preppy Killer.

As Big rig truck drivers criss cross their way through the United States, past spacious skies, amber waves of grain and purple mountains, they seem to be an ignored and ordinary part of the USA. If you think about driving down your local highways and byways, you notice these semi-trucks all of the time.  But you don’t, however; really SEE them.  That is the problem and today we are going to discuss a case that let the obscurity of these long-haul drivers become a factor. I’m John Dodson and today on The Secret Sits, we are going to be exploring the story of the Happy Face Killer. Keith Hunter Jesperson

On today’s episode we are going to discuss something that has become almost extinct, but in its heyday, was always the talk of the town, for which ever town they rolled into.  Today we are going to discuss the evolution of the Side Show or as some were called The Freak Show, and the incidents that brought about, the Lobster Boy Murders.
