On this week's special edition of The Senstennial Podcast, we kick things off with a recap of the Ottawa Senators' past week of games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, and Carolina Hurricanes. We discuss goaltending, officiating, defensive play, and more! In the second half of the show, we are joined by Sens writer for Silver Seven Sens, Trevor Shackles. We discuss how Trevor became a Sens fan living out on the west coast, whether he thinks that Sens fans should stay patient with Linus Ullmark, the implementation of Travis Green's system, and who his surprise player of the season so far has been!
Special thanks to Trevor for joining us this week!

On today's episode of The Senstennial Podcast, we cast aside most of the doubts that we discussed in our previous episode, highlighting Ottawa's significant strides over the past week. We recap the Sens' contests against the St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, and Seattle Kraken, as the Senators went 2-1-0, and only allowed a total of three goals against. We also discuss Anton Forsberg's resurgence as a goaltender, and the overall confidence and swagger that the roster is playing with in their recent games.
We were ALSO joined by special guest, Kyle Bukauskas! Kyle is a rink side reporter for Sportsnet, and co-host of the 32 Thoughts Podcast with Elliotte Friedman. We ask Kyle about his journey to the NHL, how he became co-host of the 32 Thoughts Podcast, and his experiences in the sports media industry. We also discuss the Ottawa Senators trying to turn the page on several years of poor performances, whether the Sens are ready to end their 7-year playoff drought, and more!

On today's episode of The Senstennial Podcast, hosts Matt and Matt give their way too early/most certainly premature analysis of the Ottawa Senators through their first five games of the 2024-25 NHL season. We discuss our observations of the forward group, highlighted by Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stutzle, Claude Giroux, Drake Batherson, Josh Norris, Shane Pinto, and stand-out performers within the bottom six. We also discuss the defensive corp, how it's had to adapt without Artem Zub in the line-up, the chemistry between Tyler Kleven and Jacob Bernard-Docker, Jensen fitting in with the group, and the great play of Jake Sanderson. Finally, we discuss Ottawa's goaltending, when we hope to see Linus Ullmark back in action, whether Anton Forsberg can be a reliable back-up, and more!
Ottawa's three-game road trip kicks off tonight against the Utah Hockey Club. GO SENS GO!

Finally, we discuss Ottawa's acquisition of Linus Ullmark, the possible impact he could have on the team, whether he may re-sign with Ottawa, and end off with C.J.'s player-to-watch this season.

On today's episode of The Senstennial Podcast, we discuss Ottawa's professional tryout (PTO) offers to right-handed defenceman Calen Addison, and veteran forward Nikolay Kulemin! We discuss what role each one will play when it comes to training camp, review their past analytics and statistics, and determine whether each player has a legitimate chance at cracking the Ottawa Senators this season.
We also discuss the positive media, positive vibes, and positive aura that has come along with new Sens goaltender, Linus Ullmark. We chat about how he's fit into the city of Ottawa so far, and why he's seemingly become an instant fan favourite.
Finally, we end off with a discussion on the health of the Ottawa Senators roster as they approach NHL training camp and pre-season action. Specifically, we talk about key core players in Josh Norris and Thomas Chabot, and how the health of each player will be tied to team success.
