The Simple Handicap: NFL Betting Podcast with Adam Chernoff

The Bengals enter the 2021 season with a win total of 6.5 shaded to the under. Joe Burrow is back healthy. The organization reunites him with LSU teammate Ja'Marr Chase. A loaded offense, but tons of uncertainty in the trenches and the secondary leaves this team aspiring for mediocrity - at best - against a difficult schedule. 

The Jets enter the 2021 season with a win total of 5.5 shaded to the over. The new coaches, skill position players and quarterback make it easy to be optimistic, but defensive minded Salah might be limited trying to employ the Seattle defensive scheme in this roster. Will the short comings of the team defensively ultimately hold them back? 

The Lions enter the 2021 season with a win total of 5 shaded to the under. Dan Campbell and Anthony Lynn are in as head coaches and Jared Goff takes command under centre. Can the Lions get enough from new additions to make up for the loss of Stafford, Golladay and Jones? Is Goff without McVay a disaster waiting to happen? 

The Houston Texans have the oldest roster in the NFL and one of the worst teams on paper we have seen in the league for many years. With a win total of 4.5 heavily shaded to the under is there any reason for optimism in a 17 game season?

These are some of the smartest students in the country for their field, and the questions they had on the sports gambling industry in the United States made for a terrific discussion.
