I have a confession to make… I thought I knew what the term "content marketing" actually meant, but then I totally got schooled on this episode.
But in the nicest way possible. In a way that really helped me better understand how and why our customers buy from us. You know, how to do the thing that actually works!
Because Lord knows, none of us want to inadvertently create more NOISE with our blogging, social media updates and how we show up in the world. It's exhausting and it serves no one.
My guest, Chris Marr, is going to simplify what content marketing can do for us. In this episode, you will learn:Think about the last big ticket purchase you made. What were the steps you went through before laying down your credit card and making the purchase? Did you research competitors? Did you look at testimonials? How long did you lurk around before making actual contact?
Your prospective customers and buyers are doing the exact same thing with you right now! Chris teaches how to build trust with them in simple, simple ways.

Are you ready for it?Drum roll, please.
Up your water consumption.
No really, simply drink more water.
When you become dehydrated, your body actually confuses thirst for hunger. You will reach for a snack because your body thinks it needs food for energy. This is just one of your body's many cries for water.
I'm willing to bet in the summer months, you're totally, utterly dehydrated and depleted and don't even know it. How do I know this? Well, I was the same exact way until I did something about it.
Other symptoms of dehydration to look out for:When your body doesn't have enough water, it literally hangs on to all you have given it. This can make you look and feel bloated, heavy and lifeless. The antidote is to drink more water, so your body can relax and let the water flush through, cleansing and revitalizing your body and mind along the way. Did you know - feeling hydrated helps improve mental alertness too?
Let's #DoTheThing guys… let's drink more water!
Simple tricks to drink more water:But of course, go see your doctor for professional advice on your nutrition and health. As it gets hotter in the summer months, you'll need to drink more than you think, especially if you do lots of exercise.
And if you reach for a snack…Snack on fruit and vegetables which have a really high water content to help you hydrate. Cucumber, lettuce, celery, watermelon, strawberries, grapefruit are just a few. Try a lucious salad or even fruit salad with your cool glass of water rather than that sandwich or bag of crisps. You'll be dropping pounds—and loving how you feel and look—in no time.
And just one final whisper, just from me to you, dear friend… come in closer. Our bodies are made up of water.
It's time to fill your tank once again.
It is the ultimate sign to your soul that you love her, you want to nourish her and if you've got running water at home—it's 100% free.
This one simple thing could change everything.
Give yourself this gift right now.
You can do this, I believe in you.
It's time to SIMPLIFY.

Raise your hand if you ate your lunch this week in front of your computer or behind the wheel of a car? Yup, ditto ditto. We've all been there. I'm not sure when we as a society started to look at eating as this annoying thing we need to cram into our "busy" schedule.
If your calendar looks like a multi-colored hot mess (like mine used to) and you forgot to eat, or didn't eat well, this episode is especially for you.
My guest today is Harriet Morris, and she's going to help us simplify clean eating. In this episode, you will learn:
Let's be clear, clean eating isn't about sacrifice or punishment. It's about making tiny, daily choices that nourish your body, mind and spirit. Harriet shares her experience on how to get off 'The Sugar Rollercoaster' and stop feeling so darn guilty about food.
I think you're going to LOVE this interview!

Lord knows, no one is talking about this stuff and we need a bit of a keke.
If you're a creative business, I'm willing to bet you got into this line of work because you're passionate about the art you make… whether that's graphic design, planning gorgeous weddings or creating tasty vegan snacks.
And let's be honest, it's super hard to put a price on your art. But in order to make a business a business (and not a hobby), you need to have a solid pricing strategy in place... or things will flop.

Hey friends, if you own your own business, you're going to love today's episode. You may hear people throw around fancy jargon like "sales funnels" or "list building". If you don't have a clue what they're talking about - no shame.
Today, we'll give the low-down on what's important to your marketing strategy.
My guest today, Paul Chapman, goes back to basics with marketing strategy for solopreneurs. In this episode, you will learn:Paul is super smart, funny and everything you'd expect from a British man talking about marketing. But in a good way. We had lots of laughs and I hope you enjoy this one.

Today I want to talk about a bit of a controversial decision I made this week. Hello, my name is Mary and I'm a Facebook-aholic.
Yes, I'm totally, utterly addicted. It's embarrassing for me to admit this. But I'm your stereotypical Gen-Xer who wakes up and reaches for my phone first thing in the morning, instead of a cuddle or a coffee.
And that's not okay. I'm a Simplifier, for crying out loud!
So, I've decided to do something a bit radical. A bit of a detox, if you will. I've decided to take part in the "Simplify My Social" experiment, where I won't use any social media channel for 30 days…except for Instagram.
No Facebook. No Twitter. No Snapchat or Pinterest. No Linkedin, no nothing.
Just laser focus all my online work on one channel. Simplify.
At first, I was really scared. I'm a Texan expat living in the UK…how in the world would I stay in contact with my American, Australian and Canadian friends and clients? What if I miss out on something? What if no one listens to the podcast, as a result?
Thanks Fear. I appreciate you chiming in. But that's okay. It's all good. Time to sit in the backseat.
So, I deleted the Facebook app off my phone this morning, slowed my pace down and even took some time to sit in the park near my office and soak up the sunshine.
News flash: the world didn't come crumbling down. Facebook is still standing with one less user this month and my headspace now has a bit more breathing room.
I plan on documenting my thoughts, triggers and emotions this entire month… hoping to share what I learn with you soon. As business owners, we get so caught up in the "shoulds" in our business that we fail to focus on the things that ACTUALLY work:
So, that's what I'm doing this month and if you'd like to join me, I'd love you to come along for the journey.
And just one final whisper, just from me to you, dear friend…come in closer.
Social media can be a powerful connector. But it can equally be such a TRAP. If you're finding yourself mindlessly scrolling, scrolling, scrolling today, I want you to stop. Pause. And gently ask yourself, "why am I doing this right now?" What gap (in my heart, my mind, my schedule) am I trying to fill? What is one simple thing I could do right now to nourish myself, instead? Drink a glass of water. Deep breathing. Look up, make eye contact with someone and smile. Anything. Anything but this.
You can do this, I believe in you. It's time to SIMPLIFY.

Today, I want to talk about mastering the power of repetition. Yes, that's right, the power of repetition. Say it with me this time: the POWER of repetition.
Okay, I promise the whole episode won't be like that. (haha!)No, but really…
What makes a new thought into an ingrained subconscious belief? Repetition.
Remember: Thoughts become emotions become actions become beliefs. There's a concept called "spaced repetition" which is a process by which you neurologically hack your brain to retain more information and solidify a new belief.
So, the question bares answering… what do you want to DO? and why?
Where's one area of your life that you'd like to improve? Your health, your bank balance, your parenting skills?
Whatever it is, identify one thing you'd like to improve with today's exercise. Just one. And let's laser focus in, just for a moment.
Okay great. You've got it written down at the top of your sheet of paper.
Now, ask yourself… WHY? Why this? Why now? What's really, deep underneath this wish? How will it make you FEEL when you accomplish it?
Go ahead and jot down your answers now. Go, do the thing.
Okay, how did that feel? Clarity is a beautiful thing, right?
Now, here's how to master the power of repetition every single day to achieve your greatest goals:
And just one final whisper, just from me to you, dear friend…
Your best life is waiting for you.Repetition in your daily habits and routines help you get there.
You deserve this. You deserve joy and deep contentment in life. If Fear is chiming in and saying, "oh, I'm a Rebel, I don't need a routine," I challenge you to question that voice and ask, "does this thought really serve me, anymore? Is there a better way?"
This simple practice can help you break free of whatever loops are holding you back right now.
You can do this, I believe in you. It's time to SIMPLIFY.

What makes a habit or routine in your life a good one? Well, for me… it's one that helps keep you on track and living your BEST life.
The ones that uplift you, nourish your mind body soul and spirit. It's the daily, little choices that shape who you are.
My guest today is Melissa Monte, the host of the Mind Love podcast and she's simplifying how to set habits & routines to help you live your best life.
IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:
• What are energy frequencies and how do you boost yours? • What part does "disruption" play in squashing your limiting beliefs? • What is a "Power List" and how does it work, simply?
Her story of childhood trauma and overcoming a eating disorder, depression and anxiety is incredibly powerful and I hope you find simple, practical tips if you struggle from mental health issues as well.
I dare say EVERY creative entrepreneur will hit a slump (big or small) at some point in their business. Let's start a conversation on mental health, get to the core of what's REALLY going on and start the path towards healing. Together.

Today, I want to challenge you to earn $1000. No, I mean like today, in the next 24 hours. GAME ON, my friend. Game on.
Here's how.
If you're a small business owner, it's likely you have a following of people who are LOVING what you are dishing out. And maybe when you're just starting out, that might be your mom and your BFF. No shame, we all started there (and my mom barely knows how to use Facebook!)
But I want to push you out of your comfort zone and have you ask for the sale today. I know, yes. REALLY!
The world doesn't need another pretty picture posted on Instagram by you today. What it needs is for you to unapologetically show up and tell them what you're offering and ask. for. the. SALE!
Remember, you can slice and dice this challenge in whatever way you see fit.
Sell 10 things at $100. Or 4 things at $250. Or 100 things at $10.
But remember, the higher the price, the fewer the people you need to connect with to hit your goal.
Plus, you are WORTH IT!
If you're showing up, serving people from the heart and genuinely making a positive impact on the world, your clients VALUE you and your work.
We don't need you to devalue it for us.
So, I want to you pause for a moment. Go grab a pen and paper, set a 7-minute timer and write at the top of the page: "My kickass, irresistible offer is awesome. It is _______________________________________."
Answer that question first.
Then write this next: "And the following people really, really NEED this thing: ______, _______, _______…"
And finally, write: "Here's what I'm going to do to earn $1000 today: _________________________________."
Go, do the thing!
Well hello there, Simplifier. Look at you go! Look at your Intuition delighting in the fact you asked her, her opinion.
Okay, now it's time to take the leap. Clear your schedule. Stop the mindless scrolling on social today. Get your big girl pants on and go pick up the phone (I know, GASP!) and get to connecting with people.
They NEED you.
Let me repeat that, they NEED you to solve their biggest pains in life. They're wishing you would swoop in and simplify their life.
Go make someone happy today. And just one final whisper, just from me to you, dear friend…come in closer.
Do you know how AWESOME you are? I mean like, really?? You are a vibrant, smart, clever, super awesome person that inspires so many others. Your smile lights up the room. Your laughter is infectious and your talents are meant to be shared with the world.
Go do it now. I'm cheering you on.
You can do this, I believe in you. It's time to SIMPLIFY.
