The Skeptic Metaphysicians: Spiritual Awakening & Quantum Spirituality

Today we’re gonna be talking about witchcraft. Yep you heard right….witchcraft. You may be surprised to lear that its NOT what you expect it to be….well, not entirely anyway.According to Wikipedia:" A solitary witch is an individual who chooses to practice their spiritual faith in the privacy of their home or other designated space, without the need to participate in a group such as that of a Wiccan coven; although it’s not uncommon for solitaries to participate in some communal activities[1] (e.g. Sabbats). Many solitary practitioners are Neo-pagans, who adhere to a diverse group of pagan religions that include various forms of Wicca, Traditional Reconstructionism and Traditional British Witchcraft, among others. About half of all pagans are self-ascribed solitary practitioners."To help me share all of the details about solitary witchcraft, I’m thrilled to introduce Becca Coker, a solitary practicing witch, to the show. Here's a great book if you're interested in learning more about solitary witchcraft:Wicca for One: The Path of Solitary Witchcraft Additional ResourcesSolitary Witch The Ultimate Shadows Generationhobokengirl.com/alone-solitary-witchcraft-witchy-wisdomsWitchcraft: A Beginner's GuideLooking for an introductory book on all things metaphysical? Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. WikipediaThat's how Wikipedia defines Reiki healing. But what really IS Reiki energy? What's it good for? Who can use it and more importantly, is it finally the proof I've been looking for, that there is more to the world we live in besides the 3 dimensional, physical world we all see, feel and hear. To tackle this topic, I welcome to the show Reiki Master Teacher, Heather Finch, but below is some additional information from Heather's Reiki development group:The word Reiki translates from Japanese as Universal Life-Force Energy. The first character translates as Universal Wisdom. The second part (Ki) translates as Life-Force Energy. Together they mean Life-Force Energy guided by Universal Wisdom.Ki or Life-Force energy is present in all things, plants, animals and even the earth and rocks.Reiki is a universal Spiritual Energy that promotes and maintains all life and is of a higher frequency than we are. Universal Life-Force (Ki) is know in other cultures as Prana, Jesod, etc. But energy is energy no matter what name it is called.Reiki can be learned by anyone; it is not connected to any religion but embraces and enhances all beliefs. Reiki is connected to the wisdom and energy of the Universe and to our higher self.Reiki uses Universal Life-Force for balancing the mind, body and spirit and helps us to recognize what is out of balance in our lives and gives us the insight to act upon it. Reiki works on the underlying cause of dis-ease, be that physical or emotional and enhances spiritual growth and understanding. The technique is a simple hands on healing system using Universal Life-Force to heal the person for their highest good. It can be used for self-healing and to heal others. Using Reiki regularly on yourself and others helps promote health an well-being. It balances the energy system and cleanses the body of toxins. Reiki has been taught and practiced in the West since the 1930's.Here's a great book if you're interested in learning more about Reiki Energy Healing:Essential Reiki: A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art

My next guest is a mindfulness, meditation and metaphysical teacher. But to say just that would be to do her a tremendous disservice. She is what some people refer to as a 5 c’s clairvoyant…..She also uses her gifts of clairaudience, clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairempathy and has become a conscious channel and medium. But she hasn’t always lived in that world. In fact, you may best recognize her from her work in Hollywood (yes THAT Hollywood) as an Emmy-nominated producer and correspondent for such shows as Access Hollywood, E! News, Today, Designing Spaces and The Balancing Act. I'm absolutely humbled to welcome to the show, the incredibly talented Hollywood Healer……Laura SaltmanAlso does -       intuitive Soul Sessions-       Past Life Regressions-       Tarot and Angel/Wisdom Oracle readingsWritten 4 books-       The All of Everything-       The All of the All-       The All that Is-       Wisdom of the All – Due 2021For more information about my guest, please visit her website here (https://laurasaltman.com/)If you'd like to check out her books, below are some direct links to them for convenience The All of Everything The All of the All The All that IsWisdom of the All Looking for an introductory book on all things metaphysical? met·a·phys·ics - noun - The branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space. This is the definition of the word "metaphysics".

But then there's also THIS definition: Abstract theory with no basis in reality.

Both are from the Dictionary. You can look them up.But there is another way of defining metaphysics. A way that millions of people around the world prefer to define it. A Way of Life.

Enter The Skeptic Metaphysicians. Unike Mulder and Scully from the X-Files, we want to believe. So we've embarked on a journey of discovery. We've talked to people deeply entrenched in this spiritual world. We've thrown ourselves into weird and wonderful experiences, One of us even joined a coven of witches...all in the interest of finding something.....anything....that will prove that there is something beyond this physical, three dimensional world we all live in.

After all, PBS defines metaphysics this way: Derived from the Greek "meta physika" ("after the things of nature"); referring to an idea, doctrine, or posited reality outside of human sense perception. In modern philosophical terminology, metaphysics refers to the studies of what cannot be reached through objective studies of material reality.

And this so interests us. Like a lot. Now we're not talking about the actual scientific study of things not material...we're talking about the more esoteric studies. Things like: Reincarnation, ESP, Astral Projection, Energy Healing, Clairvoyance, Shamanism, Tarot, Spell Casting, Spirit Channeling, Astrology, Numerology...Well you get the point.

We'll be diving into stuff that is so far from the generally accepted school of thought that we fully expect our minds to be blown. At least, that's our hope.

So if this kind of thing interests you, or intrigues you in any way, we hope you'll join us as we continue in our search. We're not going to be all mumbo jumbo about this stuff, but rather, really dive into the stuff and see what can come out of it. All, of course, with the utmost respect of those sharing their stories with us.
