What did you dream of doing when you were a teenager? Did you imagine yourself on the big screen? Were you going to be a world-famous author or blogger? Did you visualize yourself as an Olympian or in politics?
My guests today are a mother & daughter duo who've been on a journey together to unearth their potential and purpose. In this episode, you are going to meet my childhood friend, Darlene Van Herten (Davidson) and her unbelievably talented daughter Hannah Chantee.
This is the very first time I've had not only one guest, but two on The Couragecast. You are going to primarily hear from Hannah, but you can access the conversation I have with Darlene over on Patreon (www.patreon.com/thecouragecast).
At three years old, Hannah knew that she was destined to bring joy to people through her personality. She began her acting career before most kids are even in kindergarten. Now at thirteen, Hannah has been in multiple movies (Sacrifice, Snow, Brown Girl Begins). And she isn't stopping there.
In our conversation, we talk about how she has been able to navigate school, family life, work and her dreams of the future. This amazing young woman is wise beyond her years and she will inspire you to dream bigger for your life. She is truly a rising star.

It is said that one in four North Americans will experience loneliness and isolation. With the rise of technology, independence, and social media it is becoming increasingly more difficult to connect with others.
In today's coaching episode, I chat with Silvia who is a successful businesswoman who is finding it difficult to ask for help and subsequently feels isolated from friends and family.

In today's episode, I have the pleasure of talking with Nesh Pillay about equality through empathy and how we can start to address issues of race, gender and age equality as female entrepreneurs.
Nesh Pillay is the founder of Press Pillay - a socially-conscious digital marketing agency based in Toronto. Press Pillay offers an array of services for growing lifestyle tech brands. She is committed to becoming the Robin Hood of Marketing by taking from the rich and giving to the poor - or in her case, redistributing 10% of all her agency's income toward making the world a better place.
After attaining her Master's degree from New York's CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, Nesh held various roles at The Drum, EQ Works, Avid Life Media, and Vice HBO.
When she's not trying to take over the Toronto communications scene, Nesh can be found chasing her pantless two-year-old around her apartment.

Have you ever felt the sting of rejection? Rejection is not limited to our childhood. It is something that many of us face as adults. You may have memories that trace all the way back to childhood, but you may also be feeling rejection from a past relationship or the loss of something important in your life. Rejection knows know ethnicity, class, gender, or status. It affects everyone.
In this episode, Daniella shares her story and how rejection in her childhood kept her playing small for many years. She shares with me how she felt bullied as a child because of her ethnicity and how those feeling have carried into her adult life. As she struggles to be authentic she is also trying to manage the expectations she has for herself and what she perceives others think of her.
