  • Confession: I Never Wanted to be a Stay-At-Home Mom (and Still Don't)

This week I am getting into labels - "working mom," "stay-at-home mom," everything in between - not because these labels are inherently bad, but because we can inadvertedly make them mean something about our identity and self-worth. In fact, that is exactly what happened to me when I left my teaching job to run my business from home. There are all these narratives out there about what it means to be a working mom or stay-at-home mom, and with that it can be complicated to navigate what you actually want in life and motherhood.

  • Overcoming Fear & Self-Doubt to Become Your Future Self Now with Lyndsay Hume

Fear is a normal (and important) part of the human experience - but it can also hold us back from doing the things that we truly desire. This week I am joined by  Life and Empowerment Coach Lyndsay Hume for a conversation on how we can become our future self, without letting fear and excuses keep us stuck.

In the episode, Lyndsay and I talk about:

    • How to visualize your future self
    • Taking small steps to embody your future self
    • Why time & money don't have to hold you back
    • The role people-pleasing often has in keeping us stuck
    • The function of fear in humans & what we can do to overcome it

    A little about our guest:
Lyndsay Hume is a trained therapist turned certified Empowerment Coach for women who want to live out their purpose, create extraordinary lives they love AND make an impact in the world. She believes that the world is in desperate need of healing right now, and that we are in a state of chaos and that there is a huge shift happening - she sees women playing a large role in creating a better society than the one we have right now. Lyndsay knows that when women pursue their purpose (or, the thing they were gifted to do on this earth) they are in alignment with their higher self and their true desires and therefore they create abundance not only in their own life, but in the world. They inspire and impact other people and that ripple effect continues on and on….
