The SportsGrid Fantasy Football Show

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking back at all the action from Week 4, and question if Jameis Winston will re-take his starting job in Tampa Bay after the Bucs got beaten down by the Bears. A horrific broken ankle to Tyler Eifert has the guys wondering what tight end to pick up to ease the pain of losing Eifert. The guys chat with Adam Weinstein of Thrive Fantasy about some of the best prop plays from Week 4, and also get his insight on tonight's game between the Chiefs and Broncos. Looking at the Texans-Colts game, the guys like the play of Deshaun Watson, think Andrew Luck is going to spread the ball to his Colts teammates and also say to pick up Robert Turbin off waivers.

Scott Engel and Dane Martinez open the program looking back at one of the most exciting Thursday night games ever, where Jared Goff got his Rams fantasy herd going on every cylinder, while Kirk Cousins did his best to keep up in a losing effort. The guys look at how everyone on each team had a great fantasy night, except for one they cautioned in Dalvin Cook. The most intriguing thing the guys took from last night's game is just seeing how confident this Rams team is, comparing them not only to the two-time Super Bowl Seahawks teams but also the "Greatest Show on Turf" St. Louis Rams. Dr. A joins the show to update the guys on injuries to LeSean McCoy, and what it means to say Aaron Rodgers' injury is one "he can't injure anymore, and can play through it." The guys give their survivor picks for Sunday, with Dane liking the Chargers against the 49ers, and Scott picking the Cowboys over the Lions.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show talking about Rex Burkhead heading to IR with a neck injury is the beginning of the assent of Sony Michel. Looking at some other injury news, Scott thinks the return of Doug Baldwin will help the fantasy value of Tyler Lockett, and that Larry Fitzgerald's injury problems may keep him out the rest of the week at practice. Reports that Joey Bosa may not return to the Chargers' lineup until Week 9 has Dane and Scott wondering if they should stream offenses against the Bosa-less Chargers' defense. The guys look at Baker Mayfield as a viable starting option, and Dane questions the rankings of Mike Williams, Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking at what a short week will do for the Rams and Vikings, and they worried about the injuries to the Rams secondary. The guys also think you run out there with Dalvin Cook. Though the Panthers are on bye, the guys like that reports are saying Greg Olsen is ahead of schedule with his injury. Dane asks Scott who he thinks will be the Bucs' quarterback by Thanksgiving, with Dane and Scott wondering if the Fitzmagic will run out by then. Dane and Scott are outraged after some ridiculous "safety" calls have led to some bad injuries, including Dolphins William Hayes tearing his ACL trying to avoid tackling a player. Looking ahead to Week 4, Dane and Scott want to see more from David Johnson, and also think D'Onta Foreman will take over lead back role in Houston.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show talking about the Steelers' win over the Bucs, with the guys impressed with Vance McDonald's "stiff arm of the century." Looking at some of the dud players in the game, the guys were not happy with Jesse James' volume, and also say Peyton Barber can be dropped in most leagues. The Le'Veon Bell saga continues, as the guys question if a deal with the Jets holds water. Starting to look at replacements at quarterback if you are a Jimmy Garoppolo owner, Scott says Baker Mayfield is his top priority, and the guys question how the Garoppolo injury will impact the skill positions in San Francisco. In Arizona, another QB will be taking over, as the guys wonder if fantasy values for the Cardinals skill players will rise or fall with rookie Josh Rosen under center. Looking at some Week 4 waiver wire pick-ups, the guys love Calvin Ridley, Geronimo Allison and Mike Williams.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the program with Dane saying he, like many others, is out in his survivor pools after picking the Vikings, who got destroyed by a lowly Bills team; Scott says it will be tough to replace LeSean McCoy, suffering from breathing problems, at running back. Looking at the Sunday night shocker in Detroit, Dane and Scott love seeing Kerryon Johnson become the first Lion to rush for over 100 yards in a game in a long time, and question the talent around Tom Brady. The Chiefs high-flying offense keeps rolling, but the guys question the value and volume of Kareem Hunt. Asking if Christian McCaffrey is an RB1, Dane clarifies that if he and Scott don't say anything, they mean in PPR formats. The guys go homer and talk about the Giants beating the Texans, with the guys liking the appearance of Sterling Shepard, though it was after an injury to Evan Engram, and are worried about regression of the Texans.

Scott Engel and Dane Martinez open the show congratulating the Browns on finally winning a game, and finally opening the Budweiser fridges for their fans. Some of the storylines from the game that they guys touch on include the poor play of Tyrod Taylor, which lead to Hue Jackson going to Baker Mayfield, and the bad play of Sam Darnold. Dane and Scott go over some DFS plays in their lineup, with dane loving Jimmy Garoppolo, and Scott going to his boy in Austin Hooper.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show with Dane worrying the Budweiser fridges will be open tonight in Cleveland as the Browns get ready to take on the Jets. Dane and Scott argue if Jarvis Landry's questionable status for tonight's game means he is in danger of missing the game entirely. Marcus Mariota is back at practice for the Titans, but Scott and Dane question why he and Blaine Gabbert are sharing first team reps, and if this means Gabbert will be under center this weekend. Dane and Scott look at some rankings, and wonder if David Johnson's underperformance so far through two weeks will continue, with the Cardinals set to take on a tough Bears defense.

Scott Engel and Dane Martinez open the show questioning if the Steelers are falling apart, citing Antonio Brown's Twitter trolling, and not showing up for practice this week. The guys look at some waiver wire picks for Week 3, with Scott questioning why Matt Stafford was dropped in one of his leagues, and Dane calling Gio Bernard a quick fix for RB2 value. Scott and Dane get adamant about making proper trades, with Dane comparing trade patience to a scene in the film Braveheart. Looking at some rookie running backs, Dane questions if Sony Michel has the chance to take over as the lead back, but Scott says Michel is still in a Patriots committee backfield.
