  • Virginia - State of Emergency (w/ Trijiconfucious & Mike Maharrey)

In the newest episode of The Statist Quo, we are joined once again by 2 great guests! The Virginian activist known as Trijiconfucious returns to the show to discuss the latest news on the state of Viginia's recent gun control measures, how Gov. Northam declared a state of emergency in Virginia, and how the pro gun community is dealing with these glaring human rights offenses. We also asked Mike Maharrey to join us for the discussion. As National communications director of the Tenth Amendment Center, Mike knows a thing or two about successfully (and peacefully) resisting government tyranny.

  • NPR: National Propaganda Radio (w/ Pat Watson & Brent)

Today on this episode of the Statist Quo, Matt invites Pat, from Uncensored Tactical, and Brent, to return (in back to back episodes!).  The three of them discuss Pat's recent appearance on NPR.  No, he wasn't invited.  Instead, they take a short clip from his podcast, and post it into a montage of people talking about the "Boogaloo"; a term that the statists finally figured out meant civil war.  It only took them 2 years or so...and this is when they accuse our friend of wanting to start a "race war".  I stick up for my friends, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let the bums on NPR smear him.  This is exactly why they can't win, the media environment is sclerotic and pathetic and by the time they finally get their talking points in order, the real people have moved on to something else.  Since most of you know Pat, this instance makes a fantastic case study of why the media is so full of shit, and why they do stuff like this in their pathetic frenzy to stay relevant in an information landscape that already made them obsolete.  They just don't know it yet.

  • On The 3% (w/ T-Rex)

*BONUS* in this bonus episode of the statist quo, our friend T-Rex comes on the show to talk about the 3% movement and the modern militias in American society. He is a blogger and spends a lot of his writing time on this subject.

Enjoy! We’ll be back in a couple days!

  • The state doesn’t care about you, they don’t even care about themselves!

On this *bonus* episode of TSQ, Matt invites on his friend Brent (@VetArchistOG) to discuss a recent article detailing the extreme soil and water contamination at Karshi-Khanabad Air Base in Uzbekistan, also known as K2. This base was constructed on a site the DOD knew to be heavily contaminated in early 2001, as the US was searching for a staging area for special operations missions into Afghanistan. It was closed in 2009, but at least 61 veterans who deployed there ended up with cancer.

The DOD claims that there is no environmental hazards at this air base, but documents revealed by FOIA requests by McClatchy News Service indicate DOD was aware of environmental hazards and took half-ass steps to mitigate them. Many veterans have died from cancer and others, unable to conclusively prove to VA bureaucrats that their cancer was a result of working in living in this toxic waste dump, were forced to go bankrupt paying out of pocket for medical care.

This whole episode is not just about K2-it’s indicative of a massive problem that is DOD-wide. Troops are exposed to all sorts of dangerous environments as a matter of course, the Army often does not provide proper PPE or condones contractor practices that place Soldiers in danger of exposure to hazardous chemicals, i.e. burn pits. When they get sick after returning home they often have to fight an uphill battle to get the state to keep the promises it made when they enlisted. This is what single payer looks like, without all the socialist propaganda.

    Thanks for listening!

  • Big Shocker - The Corp Press Spreads LIES To Start Wars!

On this edition of the Statist Quo, Matt and Nick talk about the current events surrounding Iran, Iraq and the United States.  With tensions high as they ever have been, we thought it was a good time to explore some of the news stories and try to bring you an angle you won't get on the corporate press or mainstream sites.  We go into the assassination of Solemani, the protests that have been raging in Iraq since last summer, and the security crackdown that happened in reaction to them.  We also talk about some of the war propaganda that has been raging all over Twitter and Facebook, and try to debunk the War Party's false claims.

    Thanks for listening!

Thanks to all our friends we've met who have supported us, or mentioned our show or had us on as guests. Have a safe and fun New Year everybody!

  • Christmas Truce

On this Christmas Special of The Statist Quo, Matt goes solo and talks about one of the most interesting and unexpected events of World War I: The Christmas Truce, a spontaneous, bottom-up cease fire on Christmas Day that occurred on many parts of the Western Front.  He talks about the events leading up to the truce, how World War I was different from other wars, which made the truce even more remarkable.  Additionally, he touches on some of the artifacts of the Progressive Era and World War I which are still with us today, unfortunately.  There was also supposed to be some bonus content about military medicine in WWI but he ran out of time, so that will have to wait until our show about anarchism and anti-war groups during the Great War.

Shout out to Celeste for this idea!  Thanks for your support!

  • Imperial Lies and Police State Fails

Today on The statist Quo, Matt solos and hits on a few major stories of the past week. He talks about the release of the Afghanistan papers, and the great lie the American public has been fed over the years. After that he comments some on the UPS hijacking and murder of the hostage by the police. Finally, he goes over the realities of gun control on military bases, how that relates to the recent shootings on post, and the utter contempt that flag officers have for both the public and enlisted men...and how that translates into them being serious threats to liberty.
