This past Monday, May 4th, 2020 marked the 50th year since the Kent State shooting on the campus of Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio.  This story is somewhat familiar to most Americans, but there's much more than most people realize.  It's a story of the tragedy that America is still experiencing today.  The politicization of every aspect of life.  Politics is poison...it makes people hate each other that wouldn't otherwise.  The shooting of 13 students that day is the result of a country deeply divided by an unpopular, needless war of choice and a governor trying to win a primary election, wanting to look "tough" to voters.  "Law and Order" and all that.

Matt and Nick talk about the historical context, the events leading up to that day, and some other lesser known aspects of the event, including some insight as to what prompted the guardsmen to open fire on a crowd of unarmed students.  Matt tries to stay on task, but he does go down some rabbit holes about the M-16, Cambodia and Vietnam.  You've been warned.

 Okay, so one final show on current events, before we get back to some non-rona programming. Well, Matt didn't have much prepared so we just freestyled this one.  We talk about The View and their cluelessness on American culture, some random 'Rona news, and about the outbreak on the USS Theodore Roosevelt; including the captain's email "leak" and firing, We also discuss the Pentagon's (intentionally?) ham-handed response, and the general hypocrisy displayed by the functionaries of the Empire--they claim to "care about the troops" but their actions show otherwise.  After discussing muh military, Matt breaks down an article written by Armstrong Williams in the Washington Examiner.  At first blush it seems to give some deep insight into the current cultural, mental, and spiritual malaise that plagues America, but his analysis has a huge blind spot, and that is the role of the state in the societal ills of American society.

Vaccines are always a controversial issue. We can see how much power the corporate press still has by the emotionalism people have in certain subjects they play up, like mass shootings or vaccines.  They want to pigeonhole everyone into "anti-vaxxers" or "pro-vaxxers".  But what if you have questions, or a nuanced opinion on each vaccine?  Well, you will most surely be demonized as a heretic by the mainstream.

Here, instead, we go through the state's own documentation and the excellent reporting of people who do the same to find out what the real facts of vaccination are.  We start by observing the April 12, 55th anniversary of the Polio vaccine trials, and give a brief overview of the history of poliomyelitis, the vaccine, and ask some questions about what really eradicated polio.  We then bring that topic current with the after-effects of pulse (mass) vaccination in India to eradicate polio, and the non-profit and NGOs that contributed vast sums of money to that project and other immunization projects around the world, such as GAVI, the Gates- and Rockefeller-connected Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization.  We look at some of their activities, and dive into the world of eugenics, population control, environmentalism and their connections to GAVI and the WHO.

In our next installment on the history of American gun control, we humbly present to you a unique take on the Gun Control Act of 1968, the law that established everybody’s favorite government overreach, the Federal Firearms Licensee system!

Many people on both sides of the debate invoke Hitler, just like any other issue. The pro-gunners often comment on the Nazis disarmament schemes, and they’re partially correct. But the legacy of Nazi gun-grabbing lives on in United States Code today, in the Gun Control Act of 1968.  It’s not well known that there’s a striking similarity in the text of that law, the Weimar Germany gun laws of the 1920s and the 1938 Nazi firearms law passed by Hitler’s Reichstag. And to top it all off, the GCA’s principal sponsor, Sen. Thomas Dodd, owned a German copy of the Nazi law and had the Library of Congress translate it in 1968, while drafting his own version that became the GCA!!

We go over this disturbing fact and the political context that spawned the crises of the 1960s that the Feds exploited to carve out more red tape for your privileges....ahem, I mean rights.
