Bernard Heys is a British author from Lancashire in the UK. He was born in 1939 at the start of WW2, when life for most people in Britain and Europe came to an abrupt halt as they started to grapple with the prospect of uncertainty as war progressed. However, despite this disadvantaged start Bernard’s life both personally and professionally went from strength to strength, he was married to Mary his wife for some considerable time and as he puts it blessed with children. His accomplished career transgressed across a whole range of fascinating areas of Industry as well as running his own management, technical and consultancy company for twenty-five years. In Bernard’s eyes the world was his oyster and having the wonderful opportunity to converse with so many nationalities across so many continents has left him the richer in spirit for what he has truly received. 

Due to ill-health issues at the age of seventy-two Bernard opted for a quieter life and focused on something he had longed to do but didn’t have the time, that something was writing, so let’s turn our attention to one of his books.

The Stealthy Viral Pimpernel

Where governments and those in the know open enough with the public particularly the British government when it came to the Covid Pandemic of 2020? This, book aims to get to the heart of the matter especially concerning governmental failings coupled with duplicity surrounding PPE scandals and contractual dealings which at the time appeared compliant but ongoing investigations and enquiries are highlighting like this book, areas of concern. The author has some very interesting viewpoints for you all to consider.

Boris Johnson the former British Conservative Prime Minister in this book is The Stealthy Pimpernel now displaced. The Viral refers to Covid which remains, hence the title. The Pimpernel has gone but the virus remains. Did those in power hold the public hostage as to what was really going on behind the scenes. This commanding book chronicles the absorbing but disorderly diary of holistic government failures from November 2019 – November 2023.
