The Sub-Beacon Podcast

On this week's episode, JVL makes a terrible decision. Vic gets a new phone! Is the inaugural Sub-Beacon cruise on the horizon? And the guys talk Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder's zombie opus.

This week's episode is on The Woman in the Window, the best selling novel turned into a film written by playwright Tracy Letts, starring Oscar nominees like Amy Adams and Oscar winners like Gary Oldman, and directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Darkest Hour, Hanna) that is, nevertheless, something of a disaster. Dumped to Netflix, recut, released without much fanfare, etc, etc. But is it at least an interesting disaster?

This week, the guys discuss Those Who Wish Me Dead on HBO Max. And speaking of HBO Max, they also talk about the Warner Media/Discovery merger. Plus: watches are discussed, as always.

A watch made of special metal! Vic has phone trouble. And a touching movie about a goofball family trying to come together to save the world.

Plus: SOCK TALK! The cushier, even lamer version of WATCH TALK.

On this week's episode the gang celebrates JVL's birthday. How often does everyone shower? And is the new WeWork documentary on Hulu any good? All that and so much more on this week's episode of The Sub-Beacon.

Reminder: This episode is two weeks old! If you want piping fresh Sub-Beacon content, make sure to check out subbeacon.com and sign up for the Patreon.

Is this movie a Fatality or a Friendship? And which one of those would be better? Sonny has an update on his identity issues. JVL got a watch! Plus: rankings galore!

NOTE: This is a truncated episode. It is not the full thing! If you want to listen to the full thing, head over to subbeacon.com and sign up for the Patreon, folks. You're missing out on so much chatting between the dudes (and a lady!) this week.

This week JVL, Vic, and Sonny were very excited to invite Kristen Soltis Anderson onto the show to discuss everyone's favorite football-coach-turned-EPL-manager, Ted Lasso! Is the AppleTV+ show the best sitcom of 2020? Is it the show we need right now? And, most importantly: what is a grey-market piano? All this and more on this week's Sub-Beacon!
