In this week’s show we have Sara and Chin from The Changing Earth Podcast on with us to talk about our political class and the mainstream media are fanning the flames of division, and how that causes the civil unrest we see today. We also covered our roller coaster ride to socialism, and the subject of human trafficking and how that might look in a true SHTF situation.

 Along with human trafficking and civil unrest we also talked about their recent visit to Prepper Camp and Sara’s move out of communist California to Texas, as well as out thoughts on the coming election, and the chaos that may follow.

Civil Unrest

While some of the chaos seems to be slowing down as of late, the tensions are still high between the right and the left. This is because the mainstream media and our politicians continue to fan the flames.

Because our politicians (both sides) have been successful and getting their base riled up to fever pitch, protests followed by counter protests are bound to end in violence.

The United States of Socialist America

We talked in the show about whether or not it’s inevitable that the United States will at some point become a socialist country. While we had differing opinions on this subject, we discussed what things need to change, and what things are leading us down this road.

Human Trafficking

You don’t heal a lot about human trafficking in the news because every story is about “Trump Bad”, “Were all Going to Die From Covid” or “America is Racist”.

The truth is, human trafficking is a huge problem worldwide. Here is an article from DoSomething.org that has some pretty startling facts about human trafficking.

We also covered how this might look in a true SHTF situation. Human trafficking plays a big role in Sara’s book series and brings up some important questions about how likely it is that humans could be used as barter, labor, sex workers, and slaves.

The Changing Earth Podcast

For anyone who hasn’t listened to Sara’s podcast or read her books, make sure and have a look at the Changing Earth Website. Her and her co-host Chin have put together a great podcast, and anyone who enjoys “prepper fiction” will love her book series.

There are some authors out there that aren’t really preppers, and some that are. Sara is the real deal, and in that small group of prepper fiction authors that actually live the life, not just write about it.

Today Duff and Dale talk about some of the innovations from D.A.R.P.A. (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and how these technologies will impact our future. We also went over how prepping is becoming more mainstream, and how preppers are losing the “extremist” label.

While D.A.R.P.A. is a military research agency, many of their innovations make it out to the civilian population. The video below goes over a few of those projects.

The second half of the show was all about different types of prepping, prepping becoming more mainstream, and how the “extremist” prepper label is starting to disappear.

Social Media Meltdown

At the end of the show we had a discussion about how social media is largely responsible for why everyone lives in their own echo chamber and are unwilling to listen to opposing view points.

While there are some great benefits like talking to family and friends anywhere around the world, it has become a information gathering monster.

Doing a preparedness threat assessment, Jerry Nadler shits himself, the supreme court, government overreach and the ruling class. All this and more in this weeks show.

To start the show off this week Brian and I talked about how important it is to do a personal threat assessment to hone in your preparedness plans. We also covered the steps of preforming a S.W.O.T (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Weaknesses) analysis. We also talked about an article from the Organic Prepper about the fragility of our supply lines. Daisy Luther Article supply lines. We saw the disruptions during the peak of the covid pandemic which shows how things can go from status quo, to bad in just a few days.

In Covid news this week we talked about how vitamin D is important for your immune system and how the lockdown in Victoria Australia. How would we have reacted here in the United States if these restrictions were set in place here? Not very well I’m guessing.

In the political portion of the show we talked about how it appears Jerry Nadler (and most of our politicians) need a fresh pair of Depends. How concerned should we be that a good number of our politicians belong in nursing homes? Yet another example of why we need term limits for all politicians.

We also covered how the ruling class plays by a different set of rules, and how inequality is the real reason we should be concerned in the U.S.A. not racisms. Calling everything racist is a tool for the government to keep everyone divided and under their thumb.

Were Going Live!

We did this show on Facebook live this week, but as most of you know our view on Facebook is not very good. They sensor conservative voices, collect every piece of data they can get their hands on, and decide what you “need” to see.

While YouTube does this as well, they don’t hold a candle to Zuckerberg’s crew. This is why we plan on doing our live shows on YouTube as soon as we can. To do this we need at least 1000 subscribers. Because this show is so young were not there yet.

Most of you have probably seen the movie Book of Eli, but like us, it’s been a while since you watched it. The Book of Eli is in our top 10 prepper movies because of the actors, the quality of the film, and because of the prepping lessons we can learn from it.

In the show we talked about how you can take the “Doomsday scenario” presented in the film and think about how those situations could play out in a number so different disaster scenarios. The movie also covers bartering, scarcity of supplies, and being the lone wolf in a SHTF situation.

An Open Seat on the Supreme Court

Because of the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg there is now an open seat at the supreme court. Will this seat be filled before the election? And what kind of chaos can we expect in an already turbulent election year.

A Harris Administration!?!

As we have stated before (as well as many others) Joe Biden is simply there as a place holder for Kamala Harris. I’s the video below a Freudian slip? Or a sign of things to come?

We also went into a few more topics centered around our political system, the election, government corruption and the supreme court.

What Lurks Around the Corner

Towards the end of the show we talked about what surprises could be waiting for us around the corner. With our attention being pulled to the corona virus, and civil unrest, what types of disaster have the potential to sneak up on us?

We also covered how important it is to focus our attention to the things we can control while still paying attention to the things we can’t. Focusing on our personal preparedness and being ready for a number of disaster scenarios is more important than worrying too much about large scale disasters.

Americas Voice is a YouTube channel that has a wide variety of videos for conservative minded people. We played this clip of a Joe Biden gaff montage. We all know how the mainstream media has their own agenda, and Americas Voice is a good choice for alternative news.

I mentioned a great article I found at AmericanMind about a possible election coup, and how things might unfold in November. As we said in the show, we should prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The days and weeks following the election are going to be interesting to say the least.

Just 20 years ago cyber security was something we only heard about in sci-fi movies. With all the advancements in technology cyber security is becoming one of the most important aspects of our everyday lives.

This week We have Kevin Reiter from the Wilderness Safety Institute on with us to talk about Bug Out Vehicles, the difference between Bushcraft and wilderness medicine, and Cyber Security.

Because we had such a long conversation with Kevin we decided to break this show up into 2 parts. In part 1 we talked about what Kevin has done to his truck to make it bug out ready as well as being his everyday truck. Brian will start working on his van in the near future, and Dale has a few ideas of his own.

As we discussed in the show, a bug out vehicle doesn’t need to be something that sits in the driveway waiting for disaster to strike and cost 10’s of thousands of dollars. There are plenty of options for making our everyday vehicle bug out ready.

Wild Safety

The second half of the show is all about bushcraft and wilderness safety. Most preppers (myself included) tend to lump bushcraft and wilderness medicine into 1 category. In reality they are 2 completely separate things. Bushcraft is learning about building shelter and starting fire, while wilderness medicine is about managing injuries that may happen when no medical help is available.

Operational Security is just 1 part of a good preparedness plan, but it is one of the most important things we can do to keep everything we have and love safe. Operational security is only one part of the security puzzle. The others include Cyber security, information security and physical security.

In the show this week we covered 3 critical steps on the operational security process. We discussed critical information, potential adversaries, and protecting critical information. We talked a few clips from the video below and went into a little more detail on each topic.

We have been doing a few prepper movie reviews in recent weeks and because of the Covid pandemic we decided to review the movie contagion. While the pandemic in the movie is far worse than the current pandemic, it’s not something that’s out of the realm of possibility.

Conspiracy Corner

Brian found an article that covered 3 conspiracies promoted at the DNC. And guess what, Russian collusion was in there. Shocker, right? We went into detail about why the Democrats are promoting these false truths, and it’s perfectly ok for politicians to lye on a nonstop basis.

With the media hype about how everyone is going to die from Covid is we let everyone go back to work, and let children go back to school we went over what these numbers actually are, and what they mean.
