Technology is on the increase and we can hardly keep up with its development. With the proliferation of technology also comes increased access to websites, pop-ups and ads designed to lure and derail people from living a life of purity. On that note, Jim quoted some research from LifePlan. They indicate that we live in a "pornified culture." They report that more people view internet pornography every month than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined. In 2016 people watched 4.6 billion hours of pornography at just one of the more than 42 million pornographic websites. That's the equivalent of 524,000 years spent watching porn in a single year! Gary began by warning listeners that every technological platform, even the good ones, are out to addict everyone. He also noted that although the person you may be viewing is smiling, there could be someone off-camera pointing a gun at them because they're involved in human trafficking. The victim in the picture or video is someone's daughter or child. Gary is on a mission to "G"-rate the internet. In this case that "G" also includes the letters "o" and "d" so that every screen choice would be pleasing to God from a heart that's filled with the Holy Spirit and controlled by the Scriptures and God's plan for our life, purity and holiness.
