A morning after edition of the reaction podcast sees Sixties and Forty20 frank in their appraisal of the Eels following a 16-12 loss to the Melbourne Storm. A poor game from Dylan Brown alongside a string of squandered opportunities from core players are front in discussions before the boys look at the positives to build from - including a gutsy effort from the starting pack.

News comes first though with the results of the PLC Directors elections made public. All three incumbent directors in Joy Cusack, Darren Adam and Richard Foda were re-elected by members in a big vote of approval.

Maika Sivo will be an Eel until the end of 2025 after inking an extension with the club. The powerhouse winger will get the chance to become only the 4th Eel to break 100 tries for the club with 3 further seasons to add to his tally of 67.

Finally the boys preview a massive weekend of footy with a road trip to Canberra for the Junior Representatives, a homestand at Kellyville for the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup and finally the NRL season opener at CommBank Stadium!

A big weeks of NRL and Parramatta news means an action packed installment of The Tip Sheet as Sixties and Forty20 dive into the latest on the CBA as well as a raft of player movement news.

From Dom Young's defection to the Roosters to the Tigers locking up a pair of playmakers - it has been a big week from recruitment and retention. Above it all though was a story broken by Michael Chammas that Mitchell Moses is set to rebuff the Wests Tigers and ink a 4 year deal with the Blue & Gold worth an expected total of 5-million dollars. The boys discuss the importance of the in-principle agreement and how it sets the club up long-term.

The episode concludes with a look back at a big week in the Junior Representatives as the Eels bagged a draw and two wins in a big road trip to Wollongong.

Sixties and Forty20 react to Parramatta's comfortable 36-14 victory over the Newcastle Knights. The Eels were able to outlast a spirited opening effort from the Novocastrians as the class of Mitchell Moses and energy of J'maine Hopgood reigned supreme.

While the Eels will have some polishing to do on account of two relatively soft tries leaked it was an injury to Shaun Lane that soured the victory. A suspected fracture to his jaw or cheekbone would leave the dynamic backrower sidelined for up to two months.

The preseason is almost done but first the Parramatta Eels take on the Newcastle Knights as both sides look to find their stride ahead of Round 1. The Tip Sheet previews the game on Friday night but there is plenty else to talk about before that!

This week's show kicks off with another chat to Nathan Brown as we check in with how the Junior Representatives are travelling. That is immediately followed up with by previews for all three junior grades as the Eels travel to the 'Gong to take on the Steelers.

Progress has been made in the CBA discussions...or has it? The boys look at the framework for progress in the NRLW but a statement today from the RLPA makes it seems like another case of one step forwards and then multiple back. Jeremiah Nanai's massive payday and a rumoured swap between Nathan Brown (the player) and Morgan Harper round out the NRL news.

The trial preview closes out the episode as big question marks about the fitness and availability of Parramatta's top flight backline emerge. The lads discuss what it means and who will be fit for Round 1 as well as how Zac Cini and Isaac Lumelume can put themselves in the frame with strong performances against the Knights.

Sixties and Forty20 have survived a sizzling Super Saturday and reconvene at the end of the day to breakdown all of action. Starting with Parramatta's 22-16 loss to the Panthers in the NRL trial the boys work through a massive block of games.

Despite struggles in the halves and a number of missed opportunities the boys find some positives in the loss with the performances of Sean Russell and Toni Mataele leading the way.

The Junior Representatives had a banner day with all three teams posting wins in some seriously testing conditions. It was particularly important for the Tarsha Gale and Harold Matthews to open their accounts and they both did with come from behind victories.

The show wraps up with the results from the All-Stars game where Gayle Broughton and J'Maine Hopgood both starred!

The preseason approaches its zenith just as the Junior Representatives kick off and The Tip Sheet is all hands on deck. Sixties and Forty20 return to break down all the news pertaining to the Blue & Gold before sitting down to chat with Nathan Brown to talk about the elite pathways.

Will Penisini has inked a new deal with the club that will keep the exciting young centre at the club until the end of 2025. It leaves Mitchell Moses as the final piece in the Eels' retention puzzle and the boys discuss Will's rapid ascent through the code.

Round 1 of the Junior Representatives kicks off with a road trip to the Central Coast where the Eels will take on the Roosters. Sixties and Forty20 break down all three grades, what each team showed through the trials and how they can win on Saturday.

Finally, The Tip Sheet heads out to Kellyville to dive even deeper into the Junior Representatives with Nathan Brown. The NRL announced a slate of rules changes last week, stressing that there would be no new rules added to the game in 2023. Forty20 disagrees however as he contends that some of the changes amount to essentially new rules and will impact the game significantly. Sixties joins to discuss the changes - some of which are clearly positive - as the boys speculate what dramas could arise as a result of it all.

Finally the show gets to the Eels as Sixties gives his latest from Kellyville. Who has locked in their places in the starting team? Who is pressing for a berth on the bench and which young players are impressing? Sixties has all the answers as Parramatta's NRL squad takes shape ahead of the trials.
