We are being told that there is a plan for Christian Nationalism in the country. I have a dear family member who is terrified of this happening. Let’s just dispense with that idea right now. There can’t be Christian Nationalism if Christian Nationalism means forcing people to be Christian. It wouldn't be Christian anymore, it would be satanic. Jesus never forces anyone to believe in Him. So what would a godly government look like? One of the ways we can do this is by looking at what a godly government wouldn’t be, highlighting current examples in our world. We go through the Bible as we examine this and look at what the character and conduct of the leaders in a godly government would be like. 

What does God’s Word say? 
1 Timothy 3:1-7 Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons
3 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.

I can’t even remember how I came to hear ‘Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish. It has caused me to want to respond to her. I had initially listened to her music in an attempt to relate to my daughter, but once I really listened to the lyrics in this song, I realized how horrific it was. Then, I heard another song by Billie Eilish. We have the opportunity to speak into young people’s lives by using popular culture and this is what we have the opportunity to do with this song. When I first heard “What Was I Made For”, my heart melted and then it pained me. I delve into what God made Billie Eilish for. It is mostly from His word that I want to address this. We ruminate on this: we were made for something and it is not to become a sex toy to others.
