Throughout Luke’s gospel, there are embarrassing elements. Such as, how good of parents were Joseph and Mary? They were chosen by God so you would think that they would be exceptional parents, and I'm sure they were. But, there is a moment in that gospel that you think, “What?”. If Luke wanted to be believed or respected, why would he include interaction with tax collectors? In that period of time, Jewish people would say, “Why would I follow a God who hangs out with tax collectors?”. To me, it also contains some of the most beautiful and full circle moments.

The way this episode unfolded was in preparation for surgery. I sat down at the microphone and just talked. There are three elements to this that I want to share. I want to recognize that this is a difficult time of year for many people. We need to have empathy for those around us who are lonely this Christmas. I then went on to discuss the fakery of the Christmas story. If the Christmas story is fake, it is exactly the wrong way to create a fake god, but of course, the Christmas story is a fact. And, in conclusion, I ask the question, “How do you want to be remembered in a time of battle?”. I ask because we are in that time.

There is a new study showing that Gen Z is the most frightened generation in history. I am not just talking about anxiety, this is profound fear. Who is the author of fear? Who is the author of hope? Oh by the way, are you the man who tore down and beheaded the satanic shrine in Iowa? We'll talk about who he is, why he decided to do this, and whether or not what he did is a good tactic. There is more to these fears young people are experiencing, such as even having a future. And of course, God tells us constantly to not be afraid. So, is it the absence of God in the lives of these young people that is making them so susceptible to fear?

This is an exploration of what happens when politics are fetishized, fetishes are politicized, and policies are built around fetishes. We also take a look at a teacher who gave a 5th grader a failing grade because the student correctly pointed out that only women can conceive a child, and only men have penises. Wait until you hear the details about this teacher as we talk about fetishes. But there's also something else going on: God’s people are finally seizing victory, and in His name.
