*NBC Sports Olympics Theme Song*
Well, we're in the middle of a whacky 64-seeder, so we thought we'd update you on how we think the Olympics have gone so far. We talk about which events we've watched the most, which ones we've watched the least, and what it means to be an Olympian/professional athlete now that we're both adults. We didn't stray too far on this one, though we do, in the briefest of ways, mention America's greatest rock 'n' roll band, The Beach Boys ;)
Keep voting in our One Hit Wonder tournament here!
Get those headphones in and try to predict the impossible with us.
On this episode, we talk with our friend Steven Hix about how we determined the list of One Hit Wonders, which we think will win and lose, and inevitably get into discussions about our own musical tastes. Tangents include but are not limited to: Steven's big debut with Bobby McFerrin, who really wrote "Play That Funky Music," and the merits of Billy Ray Cyrus. No MTV's The Challenge or The Beach Boys :(
Opening Round voting will take place on Monday 8/2. Second Round voting will take place on Tuesday 8/3. Sweet Sixteen voting will take place on Wednesday 8/4. Elite Eight voting will take place on Thursday 8/5. Final Four voting will take place on Friday 8/6. Championship voting will take place on Saturday 8/7. Winner reveal on a brand new episode on Monday 8/9!

We hope you're happy (with this episode)!!!
Join us for a conversation about Bo Burnham's four big specials: Words, Words, Words; what.; Make Happy; and Inside. We talk about our favorite Bo moments, what Bo has done for comedy, and which special will win the whole shebang. Tangents include but aren't limited to: our own experiences as comedians in the pandemic, Phil Hartman, and, of course, MTV's The Challenge *ding*.

For sport! For country! The Olympics are finally here, and so is our winner!
It was chalk, but it was fun. Listen to this week's episode to hear about which Summer Olympic events won and lost while simultaneously hearing a live broadcast about the cycling event happening in Tokyo right now. Tangents include but are not limited to: Auntie Donna, geopolitical rivals, and, of course, MTV's The Challenge *ding*.
Bo Burnham next week! Catch up!!!
U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
You know them. You love them. They're the modern world's most competitive event: The Summer Olympics. On this episode, we discuss what the Summer Olympics mean to us individually, which events we think are shoo-ins for the finals, and which oddball sports are actually the most entertaining to watch (looking at you, track cycling and handball). Tangents include but are not limited to: that time Trent stayed at Kerri Walsh's house in Lake Tahoe, the horrors of weightlifting, and, of course, America's Fifth Sport (and Olympic event hopeful), MTV's The Challenge *ding*.
First round voting will take place Monday 7/19. Sweet Sixteen voting will take place Tuesday 7/20. Elite Eight voting will take place Wednesday 7/21 (hbd Allison and Natalie!). Final Four voting will take place Thursday 7/22. Championship voting will take place Friday 7/23. Results on a new pod on Saturday 7/24!!!!!!

What tournament do you do when the Olympics, NBA Finals, and the Space Jam reboot are all happening? LeBron vs. MJ, that's what.
On today's episode, we talk about who we think is the better basketball player, business man, and Looney Tune savior (among other things), and we go over how you all voted throughout the week. And of course, we reveal which legend won! Tangent include but are not limited to: Trent's fifth grade 50 states' project, Nia's dad's argument for Wilt Chamberlin, and, of course, MTV's The Challenge *ding*.

Drove to Chicago, all things know, all things know...
On today's episode, we review the results of our Chicago bracket. We talk wins, losses, and the biggest upsets (do people actually eat at the Chicago Diner AND listen to this podcast?). Tangents include but are not limited to: How much fun it is to say "hotdog," Barack Obama's podcasting endeavors, and America's 1st sport, Baseball (not America's 5th sport, MTV's The Challenge *ding*).
Sam Francis is an improviser and activist based in Chicago, IL. Sam is currently organizing directly with the Alvarez Family to get justice for their son Anthony, who was murdered by the Chicago Police Department. Links to help the fight are here and here!
Yeah, yeah. My parents were here *shrug*.
Nia's parents, Matt and Deanne, swung by The Creation Station (that's where we record our podcast) while they were visiting sunny California. We talk to them about each of the brackets we've run so far, and they tell us why you're all wrong. Tangents include but are not limited to: Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, Star Tours vs. Body Wars, and Nia's alma mater, Denison University. Try as Nia might to bring up The Beach Boys, her mom would not take the bait and brought up The Beatles instead *eye roll*.
