On the 13th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the pleasure of having the amazing Bunmi Akindiji  in our midst. She's a Nigerian living in the UK. Married with 2 kids. Bunmi has a special love for Christ. She enjoys reading, cooking and swimming. She likes meeting new people and catching up with old friends.

Bunmi who dated her husband for 7 years before they got married took us down memory lane with her relationship and marriage journey. She stressed that they met in the weirdest of circumstances and that it wasn't love at first sight but he was a man with a lot of guts. He knew what he wanted and went for it.

She also advised people that find themselves in unpleasant relationship or marriage situations to seek help because their happiness matters.

On the 12th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the honour of reading the story of a lady who reached out to me from the United States.

 She is in an arranged marriage and the ordeal she went through had a detrimental impact on her as she felt caged and did not have the freedom to do or buy what she wanted when she wanted. She highlighted the fact that she wasn't working during the whole time which her husband used against her every time. 

She narrated her harrowing ordeal and the psychological torture she went through which she said no woman should ever experience.

On a happy note, she eventually secured a job and is now able to buy the things she actually wants shopping from her favourite shops.

Warning that every woman should have a stream of income to ease the burden of their partners and be financially independent.

On the 11th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the honour of having the beautiful and resilient Bisi Gbadebo in our midst. She's a Thriving Survivor of domestic abuse and a Transformational Life, Trauma and Mindset Coach. She helps, support and empower victims and survivors of domestic abuse to recover from the trauma they've experienced, rediscover themselves, build their confidence and help them transition from that place of pain into their God-given purpose. 

Bisi who did not have a clue on what to do at the time took us through how things have tremendously improved now compared to during her own time 16 years ago. She highlighted the fact that there are a lot more support out there now and encouraged women not to die in silence but rather speak up.

- 3:10 Sharing her personal story which takes a lot of courage to do. She eventually got help from a female police offer who offered her a leaflet that turned her situation around

- 14:30 How family and friends could offer support to someone in a domestic abuse situation without crossing the line

- 27: 00 Willingness to listen to what the victim has to say and being sensitive to their situation stressing that if people are informed they'll be well equipped in offering support

- 35:00  Helpers also need to look after themselves in as much as they want to help their mental and physical health are also important

- 37:00 Her advise for singles charging them to use 1 Corinthians 13 as a yardstick to ticking the box as far as choosing a spouse is concerned, stressing that they should be vigilant, read up, carry out their research and pay attention to little details so as not to overlook the important things

On the 10th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the honour of having the delectable and fashionable Delphine Nforgwei in our midst. She's a wife and a mother of two beautiful daughters.        

She's the vice president and co-founder of DRIMP FOUNDATION, a faith based institution that seeks to empower youths and build talents in Christendom.  She's a pastor who has been serving in the women's ministry of the church for the past 15 years .     

She's a fashion entrepreneur, a certified John Maxwell speaker, trainer and coach .  She's a women's encourager, a mindset and relationship coach.

On the 9th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the pretty Dorcas Amah in our midst. She's a nutrition and lifestyle coach passionate about helping people make sustainable changes that improve their health and overall well being. Over the course of 10 years, she has successfully helped  men and women achieve this using tested and trusted techniques and products,  sometimes customised to fit their individual needs. 

As a researcher in her own rights she has formulated products that enhance the wellbeing of everyone and during the lockdown period, she was a guest speaker to several group pep talks where she educated people on how to live and eat healthy during self isolation. 

She is the head of social media and content marketing, & heads programs and courses for Digital Bananas Technology, an IT platform that has helped thousands of people secured digital roles relevant in today's digital age. She is bilingual and French is the language of her heart. As a mother of 2 boys, she enjoys working from home and spends her leisure time bonding with the kids. She is radical about achieving her dreams and describes herself as an overcomer and  the captain of her boat.

This is a program for the married, singles and single parents to acquire more wisdom to channel them through challenges in their relationships. She has the ability to deliver truth & humour in a way that brings couples closer together and create an atmosphere for ministry to happen and lives to be changed.

On the 5th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I would be sharing a story of someone who reached out to me regarding her ordeal in marriage. She had not come to terms with it yet but wanted her story to be shared because it might be of help to someone out there who might be going through the same.  She gave me an overview of what what she went through and I promised her I was going to use my voice on her behalf to help a lot people out there.  And who knows, it might help people identify if they're actually in a toxic relationship/marriage.
