How to handle bad body image days?
Shannon: Is there really a difference in eating your calories or drinking them? Like does it count as more calories if you drink a fruit or veggie smoothies as opposed to just slicing up the food and eating it. I had heard on another podcast (not health related) that your better off just eating the food instead of mixing it into smoothies or shakes.
Jess: I complete my workouts at home. I don’t have a ton of gym equipment but have dumbbells ranging from 2-25 pounds, bands, weight bench and a track that you can attach bands to for some resistance type training. I do intend to purchase some heavier weights as time goes on but what are your suggestions for making progress with limited equipment? I do have some smaller 2 lb weights that I can use in addition to my normal dumbbells to add some extra weight. More reps? If so, what does that look like and when do I know okay…I must purchase heavier weights if I want bigger gains? Like max amount of reps of a movement before it may not be optimal?
Jess: And do our bodies reach a point where we just won’t progress past? When I first started working out, I started low and then periodically upped my weights but I swear I am stuck at 15’s for some bicep exercises and I just can’t up my weights there for whatever reason without losing form.
How do you determine how much protein I should be eating? What about the other macros?Link for coaching application: https://forms.gle/CJ6kFSi2CpLL828fA
