In October 2016, Scottish Police got a phone call from a social worker telling them that there was a woman at risk and was potentially seriously unwell at a home in Inverkip, Scotland. The woman's named was Margaret Fleming. When the police attended the scene in the village they discovered a very strange situation but they did not find Margaret. Just two days later she was listed as a missing person. The investigation that ensued was extensive and lead to a shocking result.

Arthur Brumhill was 76 years old and had officially retired however his love of animals was his passion. He worked part time at the local pet shop on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. He worked there for 11 years and was a well loved member of the community. On the 21st of January 1993, Arthur was brutally attacked and murdered in the shop. The investigation would span a number of years until as recently as 2017.

23 year old Maureen Mulcahy went to the local pub in Aberavon, Wales in February 1976 after a night out with friends. This wasn't unusual for Maureen who was a regular at the Green Meadow Pub. The next morning her body was found 600 metres away from the pub. She had been strangled. The investigation into her murder reminded the community that she was the 4th woman killed in the same way in the last 3 years. The police dubbed the killer the Saturday Night Strangler, was this who killed Maureen?

On the 12th December 1945, a man walking along the foreshore of a beach in Aberdeen, Scotland came across something he wasn't expecting to see. There, lying amongst the boulders was a severed arm and hand. The police took only 4 hours to identify the remains however would spend much longer trying to figure out what happened to Betty Hadden.

On Sunday 15th June 1919, Mabel Greenwood was at home with her husband Harold and her children. She had not attended the normal Sunday church service which was unusual but she did not feel well that day and decided to stay at home. Her heath deteriorated throughout that Sunday and by 3:30am on Monday morning she sadly passed away.
The events of that day would later be analysed intensely after the shocking news that Mabel had been poisoned was discovered.

13 year old David Spencer and 11 year old Patrick Warren lived on the Chelmsley Wood housing estate in Solihull in the West Midlands. They were good friends who spent a lot of time together playing in the neighbourhood. On Boxing day 1996, the two boys were out playing the neighbourhood as usual and Patrick was excited to show off his new red Apollo laser bike he had received for Christmas. They were out until late that night which was not necessary unusual however the fact that they did not return the next day certainly was. The investigation into their disappearances would later be criticised and the boys have sadly just become known as the Milk Carton Kids.

On the 12th September 1985, 66 year old Alexander 'Sandy' McClelland had been shopping in Brighouse, West Yorkshire with his stepson Brian and his wife Elizabeth. They returned to Brian and Elizabeth's house at 8:15pm and Sandy drove off to go around the corner to his own home. He returned 5 minutes later with some cigarettes that Brian had left in his car and then left once again. It was a routine evening and Sandy was in high spirits.
