Between 1971 and 1972, a killer was on the loose in the Washington DC area. He strangled, raped and even stabbed six young African-American girls ranging in age from ten to eighteen years old.  To date, no one has been formally identified as being responsible for their murders and although there have been suspects, this killer is still unknown. This is the Unsolved Case of the Freeway Phantom.
