So Im all for positive motivation and inspiration.
Sometimes though you need to use the doubt as fuel.
Ive seen a lot of very cool underdog stories rise to the top over the last few months there is one thing that Ive noticed they all have in common.
At some point they used the doubt and being underestimated as fuel to succeed.

Today marks a year since I recieved my Purple belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.
The achievement meant a lot to me, those who have trained Jiu Jitsu will understand.
Jiu Jitsu has taught me a lot of lessons that have filtered into many other aspects of my life, but probably one of the biggest lessons is what the long game actually is.
This week I talk about what it has taught me about the long game and how that has effected other aspects of my life including being a Dad.
Hope you enjoy, reach out if you need help!

Long term consistency trumps short term intensity.
A pretty common converstaion Ive had with people in the past is "I did (insert x challenge here) and got great results but I couldnt keep going afterwards."
Ive been caught in the trap of thinking I need a "challenge" to kick start different changes Ive made too.
Turns out, this was the wrong way to go about it.
If youve struggled to make things "stick" then have a listen and let me know what you think!

Trying to reclaim that old level of fitness or athleticism is a really common goal for a lot of Dads.
It can also be super frustrating if you are trying but not getting there, its something that I talk to a lot of people about.
Trying to get back to a certain point, with an old plan only to fall short and get frustrated with the whole process.
Understanding the difference between training for health and training for performance is important when your in a position where your circumstances have changed.
This week I have a bit of a ramble about my thoughts on the difference between the two.
Hope you enjoy, reach out if you need help!

Ever told yourself that when I get (insert any criteria here) Ill do (some action that I want/need to take.)?
Because I have and I heard a lot of others that have too.
The problem becomes that said criteria is mostly never satisified and time passes anyway.
Sometimes you just need to take the jump and work it out later.
This week I chat about this concept, and why waiting in a lot of instances is the worst thing you can do.
Let me know your thoughts and if you see this in your life.
