We're diving into something much easier today and that is The Law of Inertia. This is also referred to as Isaac Newton's first law of motion. You probably remember learning about this in school. Basically, any object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion unless they are acted upon by an outside force like friction or gravity or interference from a human being. In this episode, we'll take a look at how The Law of Inertia not only applies to inanimate objects, but it's a principle that governs our personal lives as well.

As this conference is approaching and just with the way the world is right now. I've been thinking a lot about tolerance and also how easily it is for people to be offended, or for people to be offensive without knowing it. This is a sensitive topic and I hope you will keep that open mind and heart I just mentioned. But I do feel compelled to share some of my feelings and everything that I share in this podcast is said with kind intentions. So let's talk about whether to be or not be offended.

Fall is the season of change and a lot of us have gone through and are still experiencing some difficult changes in the last two years. I know personally, things have been tough for me. And I found myself going back to a wonderful book called Loving What Is by Byron Katie.
This is one of those life-changer books that I think everyone should read. I'll put a link to the book in the show notes. But seriously Peeps, if you can wrap your head around the principles she teaches in this book, you will be able to find a higher level of peace and self-confidence that you might not have believed possible.

Alrighty, let's get down to business. Today we're talking about a principle that I've been thinking about quite a bit the last few weeks. It's something that I actually heard about from my sister, Kimberly who is amazing. I did an interview with Kimberly on episode 10 and you should check that out if you haven't yet. But She explained a concept to me about the word 'nevertheless' in a way that I haven't considered before. And I'm psyched to share this idea with you. Today we're talking about the word 'nevertheless' and looking for a higher meaning.

You get to hear from me this week because I was fortunate to be asked to be on a different podcast called Finding Unity with Valerie Payne. And I really enjoyed my conversation with her about my experience with anxiety and depression. And, uh, so I thought I’d share that with you guys today. You should definitely check out Valerie’s podcast. It’s great and has a lot of different people on there and how we can all come together, um, and have unity in our world.

You know, it's the little simple things that bring us the most joy. I love the book Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery and that story highlights this idea in many ways. There's even a quote I love in the book where Anne says, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string." I think that quote holds so much truth.
One of the projects I worked on this last week was going through my clothes and donating stuff I don't use anymore. I got to thinking about the benefits of decluttering a space and enjoying simple things. So today we're talking about minimalism.

How's your Summer going? I love this time of year. I love the sunshine and watching things grow. Right now gardens are at their peak, at least ours is. We're enjoying the zucchini, peppers, beans, etc. that we planted a few months ago. I know I've mentioned this before, but I love plants and the lessons that they can teach us. So today, we're talking about Planting Seeds.

I'm super excited about the topic this week which is The Power In Naming Things. This is an idea that might not come naturally for you, but let me tell ya, it is magical. To be honest, I may go a little overboard on this at times. I like to name everything from my houseplants (many of which are named after loved ones), to my guitar (Caliope, the Head Muse in Greek Mythology), to my toaster (Amos, just cuz I think it's a fun name). But the principle of naming things goes a lot deeper.

I’m excited about our topic today on Consumers & Creators. I like it because I’m a sucker for alliteration. But what I really love is the duality. We are all consumers and we are all creators. The trick is in the timing, right? It’s like that scripture slash classic rock song by The Byrds: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.”

In honor of the twenty-fifth episode, we’re discussing one of my favorite ideas today. Be A Warrior Not A Worrier. This is one of the many personal mottos or themes that I’ve adopted in my life and it’s a powerful one. Believe me, as someone who could be described as a chronic worrier, I’ve learned that sometimes the only way to defeat worry or anxiety is through action. And sometimes that can take a heroic effort.
