  • 266. Leading My Children to See God

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Imagine the impact if every day we chose to root our lives in God's truth instead of the world's ever-changing messages. What if our words, actions, and decisions all pointed our children toward Jesus?

As mothers, we have the sacred role of shepherding our children, but it can feel overwhelming to guide them in a world full of distractions.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:14, we are urged to encourage one another, to walk in faith, and to care deeply for those around us. This call isn’t just for us—it’s for our families too. We may not be able to make our kids love and follow Jesus, but we can model His love and truth every day.

I encourage you to spend time with the Holy Spirit, asking, "What would it look like to teach my children diligently? How can I talk about You throughout my day? We are the ones pointing to Jesus.

  • 265. Our Charge in Motherhood

Welcome back to the kitchen table. There are days when we feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities that come with motherhood. We may find ourselves struggling, not wanting to cook another meal or face the endless tasks that demand our attention.

1 Peter 5:2-4 offers a powerful reminder of what motherhood is truly about In those moments, it’s easy to forget the deeper purpose behind our role as mothers.

This scripture reminds us that we’ve been chosen to shepherd our children, not out of obligation but with a willing and loving heart.

Even on the hardest days, when we don’t feel up to the task, we must remember that God has called us to this role. We are entrusted with the care and guidance of our kids, and this is a charge that goes beyond ourselves.

  • 264. He Listens to Every Prayer We Speak

Welcome back to the kitchen table. In moments of struggle and uncertainty, it's comforting to know that God is always near, ready to listen. Psalm 116:1-2 reminds us of this truth and this is where Bethany is anchoring listeners today.

God's desire is simple—he wants us to run to him. It’s not about saying the perfect prayer or finding the right formula. God isn’t waiting for us to have it all together before we come to Him. He simply wants us to bring our worries, fears, and struggles.

He’s ready to listen, and his ear is always inclined towards you.

  • 263. God Loves When We Ask

Motherhood is full of questions—some small, some big, and some that seem too overwhelming to even ask out loud. One of the biggest questions we face is this: what can we ask of God in our role as mothers?

As mothers, we often find ourselves in situations where we lack the wisdom we need. Jeremiah 33:3, God invites us to call on him, promising to answer.

James 1:5 offers even more reassurance. Scripture tells us that when we ask God for wisdom, he gives it generously and without reproach. There’s no need to hold back or feel guilty for asking. God is eager to pour out his wisdom on us, helping us find clarity in all of the questions we have in motherhood.

  • 262. He Will Lead You in Motherhood

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Motherhood is full of transitions, each season bringing its own set of challenges and joys. Sometimes, everything seems to shift at once, and the path that once felt familiar suddenly feels uncertain.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next. In these moments, scripture offers comfort and guidance. God promises to lead us, even when we can't see the way ahead. Isaiah 40:11 reminds us of his gentle guidance, like a shepherd carefully leading his flock.

In Isaiah 42:16, He reassures us that He will turn darkness into light, guiding us through unfamiliar paths with compassion. Even during the toughest seasons of motherhood, we can trust in presence. When the changes around you feel overwhelming, take a moment to lay your concerns before him.

  • 260. When I'm Weak

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Our culture often says that we need to fix our weaknesses to succeed. Bethany reminds us of the importance of holding tight to the truth that God is not limited or concerned by our weaknesses.

Bethany connects two powerful scriptures—2 Corinthians 12:9 and Philippians 4:13—to shed light on how God’s strength meets us in our moments of weakness.

By connecting these scriptures, Bethany illustrates that our weaknesses are not barriers but opportunities to experience God’s support.

Bethany encourages us to remember that God’s presence and help are always at our side. Leaning into these truths allows us to navigate our struggles with the assurance that we are never alone.

  • 259. God Walks with Me in Motherhood

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Today, Bethany explores the profound truth that we can never be separated from God’s love, no matter what challenges motherhood brings.

She discusses how Romans 8:37-39 and Psalm 139:2-5 come together to confirm that nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. These verses emphasize that God is with us through every aspect of our lives, including our role as mothers.

Bethany shows how these scriptures connect to illustrate that God will never turn his back on us or react with anger. Instead, he consistently walks with us, providing support and comfort.

This promise of his constant presence can bring strength and peace, reminding us that even in our most difficult moments, God’s love remains steadfast.

  • 258. My Motherhood for His Glory

Welcome back to the kitchen table. In the middle of the daily challenges and joys of motherhood, it’s important to remember that our role as mothers is ultimately for His glory. Your motherhood is not just a role you play; it is a part of God’s plan.

Bethany grounds us in the truth found in Romans 11:36, which highlights that your motherhood fits into God's larger plan.

It’s easy to compare yourself to others and feel like you should be doing more or doing things differently. Instead of focusing on what you think you “should” be doing, remember that your journey as a mother is perfectly part of God’s plan. Don’t let feelings of inadequacy take away from your confidence and joy.

Spend some time today asking God how you can make your motherhood reflect his purpose.

  • 257. My Motherhood is Held by Christ

Welcome back to the kitchen table. It’s easy to look at other mothers and think, “They’re doing a better job than I am.” This comparison is amplified by the enemy, who loves to feed us these lies to undermine our confidence. Bethany grounds listeners in the truth of Colossians 1:16-17 and rediscovers the strength that comes from knowing our lives are securely held by God.

The truth is, nothing is beyond God’s grasp. Our lives, including our journey through motherhood, are sovereignly held by Him. When we’re tempted to doubt our ability or compare ourselves to others, it’s important to remember that God values us deeply

This powerful truth reminds us that Christ is the one who keeps everything from unraveling. When the days are long and the challenges feel endless, it’s comforting to know that Christ is the one who holds it all together.

So, on the days when you feel overwhelmed by the chaos, take a moment to stop and remember this: God’s sovereignty surrounds you. He holds you and your role as a mother with high value.
